Works well
I’m really happy with this button maker! It’s sturdy, easy to set up, and the ability to switch between 1.25" and 2.25" sizes is a huge plus. Both sizes work great, and the finished buttons look clean and professional. The machine feels solid and well-built, and once you get the hang of the motion, making buttons is quick and satisfying. For the price, It hasn’t disappointed me yet.Highly recommend for anyone looking for a versatile, reliable button maker!

Functional, easy to use after set up. Well made product.
My son purchased this so he could create and sell his pin creations. He is 9 and after my husband helping with the instructions and set up he is able to draw and press pins himself. The press is easy for him to use and his pins have turned out great as long as he aligns them correctly and his drawings don’t go over the edge. He is so glad he got this and it functional and durable. He can make two different size buttons and he has used it daily since he purchased it. Great value for the money and it empowered him to create and sell allowing him to put his entrepreneurship to great use.

Works well, paper cutters wrong sizes
Machine works well, parts are decent quality. The paper cutters are NOT the right size, you’ll have to buy different ones separately. Setup was a little complicated as instructions are extremely vague, but once I figured it out, it was very quick to use!

Worth the money & easy to use
I am in the process of making 1200 buttons for girls camp. Assembly was simple, and the instructions for operation are clear. I have made 400 of the buttons so far and have not had any issues. It is simple to change out the slide for the different sized buttons. It does come with cutters for both sizes but I have used scissors instead. It does not have to be perfect. There are many free button templates online. The only downside if I had to find one, is that the backs that are provided in this kit are plastic and quite cheap. Since I'm making so many I ordered more backs that have a better pin.Definitely worth the money.

This is hot garbage
Almost every button I tried making wouldn't connect to the back piece. Turns out the big size was actually too small to even work. You can tell this is cheaply made and it barely functions. Absolutely not worth it. Do yourself a favor and get the ChiButtons maker, it's way better.

A huge hit for my daughter’s birthday.
I bought this button maker machine for my daughter's birthday and it was an absolute hit! It’s super easy to use, which was perfect for her to create her own buttons. The quality of the buttons is great, they feel sturdy, and stay on things. Plus it comes with two different button sizes, which added even more fun and variety to the creations. It is such a fun activity for the both of us and my daughter has been using it nonstop since then. It’s a fantastic gift especially for any crafty kids who love making personalized items. She is 11 and does need a little help pressing it down as it is a little hard but overall great

When it works properly, it's fun to use. Buuuuuut, about 10-20% of my buttons end up in the trash.
This is a fun gadget, but it's not very well built in terms of precision. I would say about 10-20% of my buttons fail on the first step. To break it down:Assembly was easy. There are two registration pins that go in each side of the tray so you can easily and quickly slide it in the base from left to right. This is required for the two-stage assembly process. The ProcessStep Onea. The first part, applying the top/front of the button, is where I keep running into issues. The front consists of three pieces - the metal blank, your paper image, and the thin plastic protector/cover.b. push the base to the left and place the button parts in the tray.c. slide the tray to the right until the registration pin hits the base.d. press down on the handle to compress everything together.Step (d) is where I hit problems; there is a lot of slop where the tray slides in the base, and it's impossible to get the tray lined up in the same spot each time. What sometimes happens is there is a lot of resistance followed by a pretty violent clunk. When you feel the resistance, it's too late. You can't raise the lever, reposition the tray, and try again because the damage has been done and that button is now unusable. What makes this tricky is even when the press is working as expected, there is still some resistance. The point is, it's hard to tell if tray is correctly positioned or not, and the registration pin abutting the base is no guarantee the button will form correctly. It would be really nice if the tray slid into positive detents and was firmly held in place. Not so firm that it's hard to slide the tray back and forth, but firm enough that you KNOW it's correctly positioned. If you buy this, you will see what I mean. Slide the tray to the left then wiggle the tray from the right. It moves...which position is correct?2. The second part, applying the backing with the pin, is like butter in comparison to step 1. The lever action is very smooth with no points of resistance or alarmin loud noises. There is a little resistance, but nothing like step 1.I have never had an issue with step 2, just step 1.I have attached a photo showing what the failed buttons look like. By the way, you don't know the button is a failure until attempting after step 2, because step 1 moves the button parts up inside the machine and you can't see what's going on.The silver lining is if step 1 did fail, you can still reuse the button backing (the plastic part with the pin). You can't use the metal button blank as the edges are now slightly deformed.I guess for the money, it's an OK toy, but a 10-20% rate of waste is a little high for my liking.

Fun and easy to use
Great machine, my kid loves it, you need to practice a little to get the perfect buttons, other wise they will come off or they won’t go all the way in, you need to make sure you add only one clear plastic, if two or more are stick together you won’t be able to press the button. Other than that Its fun to use, it is totally worth it.
