Im a South African, living in USA and SA, i needed a straightner that would work in both countries. This is IT!!! I love this straightner. It glides through hair without it pulling out some hair. I like that it comes with some accessories. It’s beautiful and easy to work with. It gets pretty hot, just have to use heat protection on hair. The size is great and the quality is so good for the price. I would recommend.

The media could not be loaded. I didn’t know my hair could get so straight!I have natural 4c hair and for the past 3 years I’ve only worn braids and twists as protective styles. This year, I decided that I wanted to straighten my hair but I didn’t want to spend $150 on a new babyliss.I ordered the Dorisilk yesterday and it arrived today. Fast shipping, sleek design, heats up fast, and it doesn’t snag.I washed my hair yesterday in anticipation of straightening it today. On damp hair, I applied aphogee pro vitamin leave in conditioner and lotta body sleek me blowout lotion. I wrapped my hair into 4 Bantu knots and went to bed.The next day, I used the red kiss handle free blow dryer to stretch my hair and finally straightened it with the flat iron on 428F. My hair was straight with only one pass. I never used any oils but somehow my hair is shiny.I will say that the flat iron initially heats up quickly but it does continue to get hot after the ready beep. After about 5 minutes of use, the iron had reached the full 428 F. Be careful because it gets pretty hot!I walked out of the bathroom once to make a pizza and when I came back the iron had switched off.I can’t speak to the longevity of the iron because this is only my first time using it. I noticed some reviews about malfunctioning after a while, but I’m hoping mine decides to stay around for a while.My hair looks like a wig. I’m surprised because I haven’t seen my straight hair in three years. Awesome first impression. Would recommend solely based on my first time use.

I love my new flat iron! I have 4C natural hair and when using them I only have to pass through my hair one time. Not only that, there seems to be a breeze when using them to prevent the heat from burning your scalp. I think that’s genius
