Nicely finished Liner Lock
This knife is well balanced, really attractive; nice scales unique color, sleek design and shape, great blade profile in the modified tanto, the blade is nicely finished centered and the action is very smooth/quick. Good steel in the 9cr which improves on the 8cr (which when done right is also a good steel (ex. cold steel knives does some good 8cr). The 9cr is more quality less budget Chinese steel, is tough, holds an edge well and has good corrosion resistance and this one comes razor sharp and very nicely finished. Kizer has earned a good reputation in a highly competitive market. Mine will be a gift to a Lady friend and I think she'll really like it. Summary: It's an attractive sleek design. Quick and smooth deployment. Good steel, nicely finished and cool blade profile.*The blade length is also very acceptable(check your state for blade limits). The packaging is well done especially for a gift.

Great knife. Shipped quick. Sharp out of the box and smooth action. I like the feel of the textured grips.

Great value
I really like this knife and I think it is a good value at $69. However, I used the discount code from the Vipon app and got it for about $48. At that price, it is an amazing value.Pros:1. The flipping action is great. It took a couple of days and about 500-1000 flips to break in, but now it is very smooth and snappy. It really felt about the same as the action on the ZT 0450CF that I tested in store a couple of days ago.2. The hollow ground blade is very thin behind the edge and makes it easy to get a wicked sharp edge. It shaves hair off my arm without any pressure. It is almost as sharp as my straight razors.3. The fit and finish is really good. The steel liners are nested inside the g10 scales and there is zero gap between the two. The action was good out of the box and got even better after a couple of days.4. I like the pocket clip. It has good tension and enough of an upward flare on the tip that it slides into the pocket easily.5. It only weights 2.6 ounces but feels very solid and is a good size edc knife.Cons:1. The jimping on the flipper tab is pretty harsh on my finger. Out of the box the detent was stiff enough that my finger felt raw after flipping it several times. After a couple of days, the detent mellowed out and isn't as stiff anymore, but I still don't love it.2. The flipper tab is too large and I don't love how it sticks out so far into my pocket.3. The edge grind wasn't great on my particular knife. It was sharp, but the grind wasn't even and some sections of the blade hardly had any bevel showing at all. I sharpened it myself and it now has an even, razor sharp edge.I would like this knife even better if the blade were a little longer (maybe 3.5 inches) but that is only my own personal preference. I also have the Kizer Vanguard Splinter. The handle length and overall length between the two and pretty similar, but the Splinter gives you about 3/8" more cutting edge that the Dukes. However, I like both knives and will keep them and carry them regularly. If we keep seeing quality knives like these, I don't see why anyone would continue buying Kershaws and CRKTs with inferior materials.

Very nice knife, but not ideal for lefties
I've been wanting to add an EDC flipper knife to my collection, and wanted to stay under $100. I also wanted a drop point blade made with good steel and Micarta grips. This knife checked all those points, and then some. The build quality appears to be excellent, and the blade was very sharp out of the box. The stone washing on the blade looks really nice, and for my slightly larger than average hands, the grip is very comfortable and all 4 fingers fit. I was a little leery of buying a knife made in China, but Kizer's rep is strong in the knife world. If you're right-handed and live in a jurisdiction where this knife is legal to carry, I'd strongly recommend it.My only quibble with this knife is that it's not that ambidextrous. The flipper obviously is, but the pocket clip can only be set for right-handed carry. I have found I can fit and clip this knife in the fifth pocket of my jeans, so that's where it'll be carried. Also, like all liner locks I've seen, they're geared for righties. Granted, you can use them left-handed, but since you have to reach across the lock with your thumb and pull to unlock it instead of pushing with your right thumb, it's more likely you're going to clip yourself with the blade. I won't let that stop me from using the knife, but I'll just have to be a little careful.Overall, a very nice EDC knife for a reasonable price - just check to be sure it's legal where you live.

Kizer does it again
Besides being asked if this knife glows in the dark, it is a good knife. Comes very sharp right out of the box. After a few times of flicking the knife, it opens really smoothly. Would definitely recommend and will be buying another one in a different handle material/color.

Did I just replace my Civivi?
I had been down in the dumps after losing my favorite Civivi edc. I have lots of knives but it became the one I knew I could count on in any situation. (Shout out to Civivi…still got love for ya)So, I bought this Kizer on a whim instead of just replacing my old trusty blade with the same model. I got to say, having just opened it, I’m super impressed. Snaps open like a whip. Has a very smooth action without feeling loose or like it could accidentally close on a finger… or be otherwise unsafe. It feels solidly assembled. The blade is exactly what it should be, sharp, clean, nicely polished and a nice overall shape. If you’re not already sold, the grip is pretty griptastic. I could almost see some complaining that it is TOO textured, but I love it. I can only imagine how well the grip would hold up in wet or cold conditions. I’ll report back if anything changes but I’m pretty darn happy with this purchase.
