I love doing any sort of building block project, and my daughter collects nutcrackers, so this was a win-win for us. I got to put it together during the month of December, and she now gets to enjoy with it her collection! Overall, very impressed. The blocks fit very well although there was a time or two that it took a bit of finagling to get things in place; the instructions were not too bad (there are times that you have get the page at juuuust the right angle in the light to determine which size bricks went in which order); and, I had all pieces (plus quite a few extras). The LED lights are a neat concept, but the only "on" option is an obnoxious rapid blinking, so don't plan to use that, which is a bummer. Would def recommend this product and am already on the hunt for something similar for next year!

I wanted this to be perfect. My daughter loves the Nutcracker and she was excited to put this together. But the pieces in the boxes were not complete, and the instructions were hard to follow and did not match the pieces in the boxes. We tried to keep going, but eventually the walls had holes in them from missing pieces and we were too frustrated to finish. Christmas came and went without getting halfway through all the boxes with this advent calendar. Very disappointed.

Great idea for an Advent calendar. Makes a wonderful display. I couldn't resist building it so I completed it in two evenings (8-10hrs? Maybe?) I found that the pieces fit well. The construction of the back wall was not as stable as a Lego kit might be, but once the construction was about 3/4 up the wall, everything firmed up. Just don't put this together on a bed before retiring for the evening with one dim overhead light. It was somewhat of a challenge doing this on a soft comforter, lol.Pos: Nice display. Great idea for subject matter. Good fit.The best part is that the nutcrackers looks awsome.Con: The flashing leds. They jarring to say the least. They are very unpleasant on. I need to find a way to modify or find something else for lights.

The pieces were much smaller than regular Lego pieces. It was a cute idea for advent calendar and grandson loves nutcrackers. It was ok first few days then there were too many pieces, directions not clear and then today there were pieces missing and great frustration and tears. Sad.

We loved this kit! The bricks are significantly smaller than the standard brand which makes it a bit harder to assemble. The fit and clearance of each brick is slightly subpar to Lego, but that’s ok. It created a wonderful decorative piece for our home. My 11 year old did most of the project on her own, but once it came to putting wreaths on the walls (and other steps after that) adults had to step in and assist - the bricks don’t secure to each other and the floor super great so attaching bricks on the side of the wall meant the existing pieces fell from light use of force. There were plenty of extra pieces and the instructions were well written. Big bummer: the lights for our tree wouldn’t work. We tried different cables, outlets and could never get it to light up. The completed project looks like the photo. For the price, we would definitely purchase again.

My teen was upset there was no advent calendar this year because most everything in the stores looked too young and her beloved name brand bricks advents are all starting to look the same to her. This was a great replacement option. She's enjoying the large size of the build and loves the Nutcracker theme. So far everything has been easy to put together (she says easier than the name brand versions) and we love the fact this forms a giant set you put together day by day rather than a bunch of tiny items and mini figs. Planning on buying a different set of these for next year.

What a waste of money! Many parts are missing. Assembly instructions are pictures only (very small & undetailed pix) with NO written instructions. Parts do NOT match assembly instruction pictures.Put simply, it cannot be assembled - it is an expensive piece of junk. Merry Christmas indeed!

The media could not be loaded. Item was a little difficult to construct. There were many spare parts and several missing parts. It took two adults and a 12 year old 4 days to complete for an estimated 16 hrs. The nutcrackers fall down easily and come apart. As mentioned, there were several parts missing but we were able to improvise with some of the spare pieces. It is very cute when completed and we were excited to have the lights but they are not a soothing glow but more of a bright strobe effect with no obvious adjustments. I would not recommend this for children
