Perfect for silicone molds!
I use Smooth-On silicone molds for small movie prop replicas, and this resin works perfectly every single time! And they remove easily from the molds with no need for a mold release agent. Be sure to mix your parts together quickly because you only have about 3 to 5 minutes to pour it into your mold before it goes from an oil consistency to solid as a rock! Little to no fumes and the quick cure time (15 minutes) allows you to pull back to back castings all day if needed. The final piece sands and paints well. Highly recommend!

Great product
I’ve cast several artificial trout head’s using this. I like it because you measure by equal parts by volume without having to weigh. The cast is a nice ivory color and very strong for what I’m using for. I’ve had good results with this being my first time trying my hand at casting artificial trout heads.

casting must have
Whether you are a beginner or a pro at casting, this liquid plastic is the industry standard. It always performs and the results are smooth and strong. I wouldn't use anything else

Amazing tool for replicating sculptures
I am a doll sculptor teaching myself how to make replica parts of my pieces to expedite production, and this liquid plastic is by far my preferred choice.I've tried resins, epoxy clay, polymer clay-- none captured the perfect detail of the mold like this product, AND the fast drying time is a game-changer. Now the longest part of the process is waiting for the silicone molds to set-- once they're done you can make back to back plastic casts with very little error. My advice if you're just starting out is to buy a small scale used to weigh things in ounces; this will help you NOT waste the product, as its lightning fast drying time means if you've mixed more than you need for the mold(s) at hand, you've thrown away money. As you go, you'll become better at being able to more accurately eyeball the amount you need per mold, but definitely get a scale to begin and help with getting the most bang for your buck.

Excellent product, if used correctly.
When used properly, this product is amazing. So far the only poor reviews I've seen are because people misuse the product. It cures very fast (like it is supposed to) so start with small batches and work up from there.I used this product to harden a carstock helmet I made, I mixed the two solutions and painted it on with a cheap brush. It cured into a very solid coating and was not easily bent.Be sure to read the instructions! If you mix all of it together you likely won't have time before it hardens and you're sitting there with a useless brick. If you are making a cast or trying to harden a paper object, I highly recommend this product.

Works great but gets lots of bubbles
Works great and is pretty strong and easy to use, but gets a ton of small little bubbles so you will need a vacuum system to get the bubbles out. Smooth-on has better versions of this online or at Reynolds stores.
