Notify the company through email/Amazon. They will get back to you. This is warranted for 2 yrs. They replaced mine within 3 days.

Yes, there is one on the base and one on the kettle as well.

Contact Amazon. Seller is in China and needs Amazon to sell their product. They will help you. Have had this product quite a while and no problems.
