Highest Value Air Hammer
This air hammer is worth it's weight in gold. I purchased it because of the Torque Test Channel on YouTube and it has proved itself multiple times in just a few days of use.I stayed away from air hammers because of their price and I've been getting along fine using my 4 pound sledge and pickle fork set. After watching several videos and other technicians recommending getting an air hammer I purchased the 401K Thor. The 498 Thor was tempting, but for regular automotive work you truly cannot beat the price of this tool.It is a big air hammer but is definitely extremely well made, functions perfectly, and saves an incredible amount of time and effort.

The power of Thor
TTC turned me on to this thing. I have other air hammers. This thing isn't an air hammer, it is comic-strong, plot-armor-awesome, wicked powerful air HAMMER. This thing has made my life so much easier doing frame repairs, setting differential bearings, etc. Stop reading some rando's ramblings and click buy now. I'd pay double what I paid knowing what this thing can do. I've had shoulder reconstruction and this thing keeps my shoulder happy.

Great air hammer at a great price
Had to get an air hammer to remove sway bar bushings from the control arms on a '95 Econoline, this thing was almost too powerful! Thankfully after I got the hang of the trigger, you can really dial in how much power you need, from light taps to total destruction. The quality and performance are great for the price.

DONT buy it, it wont last
Worked good for a short time. Like a month. oiled every day and now it will not work it just bypasses air.if your looking for a tool that lasts this is NOT it.we use it every day, and its just not cut out for it.

Lot of punch
Used to remove old joist hangers. Though longer than I'm used to, it certainly worked much better speeding up the job. Loved the bit over the spring head.

Quite literally the most bang for your buck!!!
If you have ever had a stuck fastener or pin that you needed to drive out or needed to cut through some metal and didn't have room to swing a big hammer or maybe you didn't want to beat on it for 30 minutes or more. That's when you need an air hammer like this. It hits hard, like the big boys on the tool trucks, but at less than a quarter of the cost. It hit harder than the harbor freight chief (ok not a huge deal untill you factor in that it costs less than the chief does) one note is that you need to run it for a little bit and break it in before you will get all of the power out of it. This is an amazing tool and when I got it they were selling at great prices compaired to all of the competition in this class. I would recommend this air hammer to professional and home mechanics.

Don't Waste Your Money!
Air hammer is absolute trash!! It has no power at all. Our shop uses half inch airline with half inch quick disconnects. Plenty of pressure but just does not hit hard at all. Tried to give it a single star wouldn't allow me.UPDATE: Exchanged for replacement. Have not yet had a chance to use it.

Beast!
Anything Astro makes with the Thor designation is worth the money IMO. If you work on rusty junk, this is the air hammer you need. This unit has good trigger control for when you just need to convince something, not destroy it. It drove a hub bearing assembly out of an aluminum knuckle in a matter of seconds. It rattled GM caliper slide pins out of the bracket. It knocked two rotors loose from the hub like nothing at all. This has two big brothers known as the 4980 and 498k. Those are super duty air hammers, but they're almost too powerful (and pricey) for what i need to do. This is a great compromise for power and affordability. The .401 sized chisels are also much easier to find and cost way less than the .498 hammers.
