For a simple Arca Swiss top, this is the best out there I have found. And man, I have allot of them. I’ve experimented over the years, changed from one proprietary brand to another, had ones that were universal as well. And there are some really good ones.But the Sirui, with its build, function - especially the snap in design is my favourite.This model isn’t too large, remains rather portable and is engineered perfectly. As for the case of speed, it’s as fast a quick release as you can get too, without compromising the strength to hold even a heavy rig in place.More expensive but something that looks like it will be around for life. I just wish both bottom and top plates were more readily available on Amazon.Recommended.

Nice compact camera mount head. I use these with my light pocket cameras, web cams. Great build quality, it's a Sirui.

SIRUI makes a lot of great photography equipment, so when I saw they came out with their very own Quick Release system, I had to get my hands on it.Like a very many of the quick-release systems on the market, you receive a base and the QR plate. The bottom of the base has a 1/4" and 3/8" attachment points. The QR plate is 38mm squared and has proprietary cutouts on the base for sliding in and out of their proprietary locking mechanism, which makes their QR plate INCOMPATIBLE with all other Quick Release systems on the market. Sure, they claim theirs can sustain up to 44lbs of equipment, but to be incompatible with other systems, especially since they do not offer a full line of other QR products like a QR Strap or QR Backpack Holder. Also, if you want more QR 38mm plates for your other devices, you have to buy the full Release Plate Kit, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just a more expensive proposition.Overall, it's a well-engineered system that leaves a lot to be considered when buying-in to a new Quick Release echo-system. For me personally, I cannot recommend it for the abandonment of all other QR systems for just a tripod mount system - give us a backpack and neck strap additions, and maybe my opinion may change.

Works very well but i wish they sold extra bases. They don't. It's impossible to find another 38mm square basethay can be used. They don't exist. All the other options on Amazon for 38mm square bases have different dimensions than the original. This means you use only the original. Or you get extra bases, adjust the adapter for them and accept the original base will no longer work. It's such a pain and so frustrating.

Ease of installation. 1/4”-20 and/or 3/8”-16, no problem! Secure. High quality. This is my second unit for a second rig. It holds a Sony a7iii with large lens attached without any problem.

Great little device for a tripod that doesn't have a quick release. Well made.
