Great, simple, strong
This dog barrier is awesome! It has strong metal construction and easily holds my 3 70lb+ dogs well in the back of my MDX. As long as your car has adjustable headrests you can use this product. It comes fully assembled and takes about 2 minutes to install. There is no creaking whatsoever as long as you tighten everything up.It should be noted the pictures for this product are pretty bad, and I could not find any other pictures other than stock photos on the internet. This dog barrier could probably (emphasize PROBABLY, take measurements first) be used on any car that has a 5th door and not a trunk. When it is in it's fully collapsed state the barrier is relatively small and could fit in a smaller vehicle such as a Honda Fit as well as working perfectly for large SUV's, this versatility makes it worth a lot more in my opinion. Add on to that it takes all of a minute to take it down and put it back up in another car if need be makes this product a great value. I am really glad I trusted the reviews and got this product, I am extremely pleased with the quality.

Exactly What We Wanted!!
We were searching for a way to keep our 70lbs very active German Shepherd in the back of our Lexus RX350. After looking at many different products and reading tons of reviews we chose the Walky for the following reasons:1.) it attaches to headrests rather than spring loaded design from floor to ceiling thereby eliminating the risk of damage to ceiling or floor of vehicle. Also I think this feature makes the barrier more secure thru bumps in the road and the dog cannot "accidentally" bump into it causing it to come crashing down.2.) Easy installation and uninstall. While you could leave this in your vehicle at all times as it does not obstruct your view we wanted something we could take out when we dont need. This is such a cinch to install and I can uninstall with one hand while 9 months pregnant. It is also very lightweight making it easy to store and very portable. Would be a great thing to have if you have two vehicles to use this in.3.) Price Point. We looked at so many that ranged from concerningly inexpensive to ridiculously pricey. We felt the Walky was very middle of the road and excellent value.Overall we are very satisfied with the Walky. No rattles, secure, easy to install and most importantly keeps our large dog with mild separation anxiety where she belongs. I would recommend this product to friends and family.

So far it's working great...
We have a 2008 Honda Fit and it fit's nicely inside of it. Install was easy, i didn't have to flip it around like the other reviewer with the 2012 Fit. I believe that if you have a compact car with adjustable headrests this will work great for you. However, if you have a larger car that seems to be where more of the bad reviews are coming from so it may/may not work for you.I agree with some of the other reviews that more support is needed around the extending arms, especially in larger cars where the arms fully extend. My dog is a 70 pound lab, i don't think he's fitting through the bars, but only time will tell. He can stick just his head around the chair and bottom bar on the side, but so far that is all i have seen him do, we will see if he will try and fully slide through it. Again time will tell. It would have been nice to have a solid slide out bar that goes around all three extenders to support them just in case. Im hoping i don't have to modify it in the future, if i do i will come back here and update my review.I agree with some reviews that the quality should be a little higher for the price, this is why i knock it down a star. However in saying that, i believe the system is sound, if only for a few minor problems that will plague larger car owners. If you own a compact car like i do, i think this will work great!Update: After a month or so of use, i really like the product still. It doesn't rattle at all in the car and my dog can't get through it either. It's a great thing to have to keep a 1 yr old wild labrador from your newborn baby.Update #2: It's still working pretty decent in the Honda Fit. It has started to rattle a bit but I have fixed that by tying a few bungie cords on the extension bars. The rattle is probably from my lab sticking his head through the seat and the bottom bar opening because he is so excited to see where we are going. Im still happy with the purchase, but be aware that the extension bars at least for me after 6 months began to rattle....cured it by tying bungie cords around the rattling extensions (on the Fit there is a perfect tie down area for the bungie in the cargo area). I would still strongly recommend this product for a Honda Fit.

Best Solution Out There - Easy to modify for your needs with a tube cutter (Mercedes GLB 2022)
Difficult to beat this universal dog guard. I am extremely happy with the fit for my 2022 Mercedes GLB. It did require some modifications but they are very simple with a $5 tubing cutter from Harbor Freight.First the unit is extremely sturdy and attaches really well. A lot of people (but not everyone) complain about rattling. I had this issue also. HERE IS THE SOLUTION. Mount the unit in your vehicle and extend the poles as desired. Mark the positions on the poles. Remove the unit and remove all the extension poles. Measure an additional 4 inches from your mark and cut the extension pole at that point. Debur the cut and reinstall the plastic insert from the cut off piece. Put the pole back in the correct spot. No more rattle! For the 2022 GLB, the top bar was too long and it was impacting the ceiling of the vehicle. To fix this, I cut both ends with a tubing cutter. You can see how much I cut in the photo. In hindsight I would have cut another 0.5 inch but it works. Once you complete the cuts, use the extra parts provided with the unit to put a new plastic compressible thread at the ends of the bar.A final note, I agree with another reviewer that it would look better if the extension poles were also painted black instead of gray. I may do this at some point. Wish the manufacturer would just do this for us. I don't see why anyone would want it gray.
