Rowlinson St. Tropez Canopy

Very pleased with this. Looks like they have redesigned it as well as the front decals are different and the hooks for the hanging baskets at the front are much better. The canopy is also attached to all three rails making it much more secure. I would only say that this needs at least three people to erect. This thing is heavy when built and trying to lift it to offer it to the wall with only two of you is near impossible!! Fixing bolts supplied aren't great and the instructions could be clearer but generally the whole process was simple enough. Not easy and quick to erect though as described! Looks great now it's up though. I just wish it was rain proof. Would be great if the manufacturer could offer a rain proof canopy that to could change it to.

I must say this was a bit of a nightmare to put up, partly our fault because the posts needed to go into the grass area, so it was difficult to get it level. Fortunately my husband likes a challenge and now it's in position it looks good and works very well. We are both very pleased with it. It remains to be seen how hard wearing the material is. Will keep you posted.

This isn't easy nor quick, nor a two man job to assemble. To start with I had to drill in a hole that was missing on one of the arms! Then bolts to fit to the wall are no good, do yourself a favour and go buy expanding masonry wall plugs to keep this from falling on your head. This kit is HEAVY, and I'd advise grabbing two ladders and 4 people to help erect this, how they think it's a two man job is a joke to me. I'd return this if my partner would allow me to, I think it's utter rubbish and would recommend it to any one else, also it took 3 weeks, not 3-5 days to arrive.

This gives loads of shade and looks very nice against the house. Did find it hard to put together and could not assemble the way instructed. The poles and beams are very good quality metal. I have struggle to fit the shade cover due to some of the holes missing. instructions could do with updating, found the poles pictured weren't exactly. The shade is made from very good quality material

Very pleased with the purchase. Delivered quickly and nothing was missing. I would highly recommend to anyone who considers having this type of canopy

HAD TO DO SOME AJUSTMENTS TO FIT. THERE IS A DESIGN FAULT, IN ONE OF THE END TOP BARS- IE A BAD JOINT IN THE MIDDLE / THAT DOES CAUSE A PROBLEM WHEN TRYING TO OPEN/CLOSE THE BLIND, HAVE TO USE A POLE TO TRY TO GET IT OVER THE JOINT.

This is quite a good bit of kit for the money. It was easy enough to assemble with 2 people (about 1 hour) but as a previous reviewer has said you really need 3 to fix it to the wall about 2 hours). Took me another hour or so on my own to finish it off, put the canvas on, etc. You do need some fit skills and 3 step ladders (one per person). Its also tricky if the ground is uneven as there isn't much adjustment in the feet. Overall though it is worth the money.

Do not waste your money on this product. Very dissatisfied, paid £300.00 for an item badly made. Not worth the money at all, the first one delivered from Build & Plumber was so badly damaged had to be returned. Wished I had just had my money back. It is impossible to set this up with only two people, the welding on the joints is so bad could easily snap. The leg extenders do not hold in place as the pins are not long enough and spring back to the original position. My main concern is that if you purchase this for UK use you will be disappointed. While I accept this is a sun canopy our great old British weather is subject to the odd shower. The canopy had only been finished 10 min before that good old shower appeared. Light rain quick 6-7 min to my disbelief the rain started pouring in like a colander through the eyelet drainage holes which are in the canopy cover. This canopy is no good at all if one minute there is a shower and the next it is sunny as you will get wet when you sit back under it. There is no mention of drainage holes being built into the canopy in any descriptions I have read on the product.Be warned looks lovely in the photos but not practical unless you have all year round sunshine 😡😡😡

This is absolutely beautiful and huge!!! We needed 6 people for set up. Assembly was ok for one person until you have to lift the canopy up to attach it to the house, at which point the leg extensions will also have to be put in, so 4 people for lifting ( or is really high!) 1 to insert the leg expansions and one to attach it to the house quickly so the others dont collapse under the weight.The cover which is supplied to be attached above the retracted canopy to prevent debris from falling into the folds wasnt wide enough, but the company responded quickly about a replacement. Will update upon receipt.But for now know, that this is worth every penny!

This arrived on time and in excellent condition. Installation required 2 people. Looks great and has held up fine this first month. Keeps the back of our house a lot cooler. Easy retractable shade when weather turns bad. I would recommend this.

This was what we hoped it would be. We are enjoying the sunshine while keeping cool. Easy to use and install.

An affordable and great looking alternative to a custom built pergola. Assembly went smoothly, but 2 people will be required to attach it to the side of a house. We like the smooth and easy ability to open and close the awning. The shade is much appreciated on the hot summer days.

Manufacturer defect. They drilled the large slip through holes on the wrong (outside) piece. I sat for hours trying to figure out what i did wrong.. then had to google images and spend a day only to realize they built it incorrect.. I"m sure now, instead of them resending me just new pieces that are put together correct.. i will have to box up the ENTIRE package.. and send back to get a new one.. as it was send, it is unusable.. Here i needed this for an event for this upcoming weekend!\i have pics and vids.. but this pic shows the BIG holes on the outside top piece when they ware suppose to be on the INSIDE middle runner.. unusable..
