Another Great Denon Product
I replaced my 40-year-old vintage stereo receiver with this new Denon. I have been a Denon user for decades, and have always been happy with the quality of their components. I searched for a stereo receiver that had a built-in tuner, phono inputs, A or B speaker options and enough inputs to handle my other vintage components. It perfectly fits the bill other than not having any tape line output and no longer having any switched AC outlets. However, this is minor compared to the audio quality and ease of use. I love the remote where I can switch inputs and control volume from across the room. The tuner section has great reception, something that was important. It drives my Definitive Technology speakers with headroom to spare. I highly recommend this if you are looking for STEREO and not a surround sound amplifier.

Denon does it again
I replaced a 15 yr old denon amp with this, and all I can say is “wow!”. My old kit was a 100 watt denon being fed from a mac mini via a schitt audio external dac. The new config is the mac mini directly connected to the toslink input on the denon (via a douk audio usb to toslink adapter). Setup was easy as long as you pay attention (pretty simple when your iphone can take care of the network config!). I’m sitting here listening to jazz being fed to a pair of sonus fabers. Worth. Every. Penny!

Yup, it's that good.
This is my second Denon. The first was for my surround system, but we use a sound bar now that I can't wire the surround speakers through the wall. This is an effort to appropriately power a speaker upgrade and accommodate my turntable without a pre-amp. I was also frustrated with pairing for my iPhone and the 900H is designed to do this more directly. If you want to spend less than $1000 and get better than $1000 sound with modern amenities in a stereo receiver, this is for you.

Very Disappointing!!! expensive new Denon 900h receiver would not power on.
I was very excited to receive my new Denon 900H receiver in less than 24 hours after purchasing it. We live in the boondocks and it usually takes a minimum of 3 days to get anything. Set up was also pretty simple since I was trying to replace a similar Denon product that works ok, but didn't really suit our needs. Soooo fast delivery, fast setup, then the dang thing wouldn't power on... Plugged it in, the system made strange clicking sound and every light on the display lit up... everything except the power/standby light. Its stayed in that state for about 15 seconds then the display lights went out, and that was it. Called Denon support and after 10 minutes taking the rep through everything I'd tried to get this turd to work, he says 'return it' which I did... very disappointed in Denon, I thought their products were better than this...

Nearly useless remote-only setup/completely useless Bluetooth delay adjustments
If you plan a sound-only integration through Bluetooth because you can't run HDMI, this is not your unit. It is impossible to set this device up without an HDMI connection to a monitor. The remote-only setup program simply does not work. Secondly, I just reinstalled my $15 Logitech Bluetooth interface into the CBL/SAT input as the integrated Bluetooth lip synch and delay adjustments are a joke.

Solid
Finally a stereo unit with the digital inputs I want with enough power.
