Graceful and elegant, large black walnut bowl. This bowl measures 36" long x 9"wide and 5" high at the ends. I carved this piece from a solid black walnut log. Several months went into carving and shaping and finishing this amazing bowl. You will see the elegant grain pattern and the unique grain swirl in the center. This is an heirloom quality piece that would look perfect on your dining table or living room coffee table. The center of this piece is the beautiful, chocolate brown color of the center of the black walnut tree. On the outside edge, the creamy-white of the sapwood found just below the bark layer. The finish is a satin, hand rubbed oil-urethane which is durable and brings out the wonderful rich colors of the walnut wood. On the bottom, you will see the Java Woodworks logo and I signed and dated.
