Champion Chisel, 7-Inch Long, 3-Inch Wide Bent SDS-PLUS Chisel, Single Bevel

I'm redoing the floors in my house, and in my relatively large entry there was engineered wood that was glued down to slab that had leveling compound used. I used a 1 1/2" chisel to actually get the flooring up and then came back through with this bit to get the slab clean to be leveled again and flooring installed. This 3" chisel worked wonderfully and help up very well. I also bought an ax sharpening file that I used on it from time to time which really helped. The method I used to get the best results was chiseling about 20 inches in the center as carefully as possible. Then I would start going to the right doing 20" inch strips where I only went halfway, 1 1/2", into the material to be removed. Then I'd move to the right side and do the same, and then go back to the center for another 20" strip. Doing it this way kept the chisel from "jumping" and kept me from gouging into the slab. After a pass from wall to wall and 20", I'd hit it with the file again. I used it on the Dewalt SDS-Plus hammer drill. I highly recommend this combo.

It got the job done. Great for removing small areas of tile and mortar.

I am using it to remove old plaster from brick and wood lath and I don't want to damaged the fragile walls so being very sharp and having the right angel to go parallel to the walls makes it very fast and easy and also less dust

too short was not even 7" long, more like 6 3/4 at best

The shank length is too short, if it was 3" longer it would be a five star product.

Although in-expensive, it did the job. Every so often I'd use my grinder to sharpen it. I bought this product to take up 450 sf of tile. It sure came in handy to get up some of the really stuck on thin-set. It did a great job.

This Chisel did the job. I only wish that it would be longer. Once you get the right angle to break up and remove tiles and mortar, it worked like a charm.
