Just what I wanted
Disclaimer: I'm down to one far from perfect eye, so my review will intentionally avoid matters of image quality, as I'm hardly qualified to judgeI've had this monitor for two weeks now. I needed more screen real estate than my 27" flat could provide, so I gave this a shot. I realized once it arrived that it was almost exactly the size of two 27" monitors side by side, for some perspective. The included stand is very sturdy. It's heavy, has a broad base, and an adjustable VESA standard mount, and I quickly replaced it with an arm mount because it simply took too much of my limited desk space (yes, I have more monitor space than desk space). But it's not a bad stand if you don't mind its legs sprawling across the desk.Brightness is good, although I haven't had to have this in anything like direct sunlight. Unlike my last monitor, an Acer which didn't want to display anything until the computer had been sending a video signal for a minute or two. this doesn't fail to work because of power saving features and just turns on. I have no complaints with the picture, not that I'm difficult to please there.I'm thinking about buying a second one for a ton of screen space, which is about the highest recommendation I can give to something I've owned for two weeks.Something for PC gamers to remember: if you're playing games in the max screen resolution, it's pretty taxing on the hardware. With the same graphics settings on Cyberpunk, going from the 27" monitor on 1440p to 5120 x 1440 on this dropped my FPS from about 170 to 70

Good budget value ultra wide monitor
The screen may be of lesser quality compared to other wide screens greater than 40”, but for the value it’s a great introductory into the landscape of ultra wide gaming by a well known brand.

No dead pixels. TURN TO "FASTER" NOT "FASTEST" In Menu
I purchased two 34 in monitors one Asus and Gigabyte both with multiple dead and open pixels on both. Frustrating.People need to understand what 32:9 format is. THIS IS NOT 3440x1440p. So the screen isn't that tall. This is 5120x1440p. You are getting double the width compared to 16:9 on the screen or 25% more compared to 3440x1440p. Many games don't support it but there are work arounds. I mainly game and have a 6800XT which works decent enough for most games. You want to have at least a 6800XT or 4070, to use this monitor as anything less for modern world open games will get around 40 fps. The 6800XT plays Cyberpunk and Red Dead 2 pretty well with the graphics turned to high. Around 50-60 fps. If you have a 4080, 7900XTX then you will achieve high frames for this monitor which is really the way to go for gaming on this monitor.I went ahead and dropped $700 for this one for that reason and luckily no dead pixels. It does have some light bleed but not too bad compared to my LG 32 in VA 144 hertz monitor this 45 inch is replacing. The brightness on this monitor is much brighter than my other 3 monitors I have. HDR 600 is something most will probably not notice compared to HDR 400. When you step up to HDR 1000 you can see the difference. I didn't go with OLED because of burn in. Though oleds have come a long way VA panels for me is the best gaming monitor. VA panels have came a long way as well as it's getting harder to distinguish VA from IPS panels. Playing Red Dead Redemption 2 with this monster is a sight to behold in its full glory. Big difference compared to my 32 in LG. Feels so immersive. The only problem with this size of a monitor is having to literally move your head to see things but you do feel like your in the game with its curve at 44.5 inch display size. Not many games support this like Elden Ring which I find is just wrong for any modern AAA asking price. There are fixes for some but still disappointing. The local dimming I found no problems as of yet. Seems to work OK. Has a headphone jack placed on bottom of monitor. (The people who complain about ghosting is because they have the setting turned to "FASTEST" in the menu, you WANT IT ON FASTER which in turn makes the ghosting no where near as noticeable)

Love it!
Beautiful! Arrived safely and quickly! Exactly what I need for my home office. Mounted it on a single arm monitor mount to save desk space. Definitely registering the monitor and purchased the warranty just in case.

In a word... AWESOME!
I bought this monitor to replace a 24" that I moved to a different location and I wanted access to a wider screen to compare functionality. First thing, I connected this to my apple mini via an HDMI cable and although it worked, the aspect ratio was no where near what I wanted and needed it to me. So, I checked the instructions and realized that it was a totally different cable that I needed. Once I purchased the correct cable, BAM, game changer. The ratio increased big time! It went from 1920 x 1080 via HDMI to a whopping 5120 x 1440 with the correct cable. if you are going to get a large screen like this, I suggest that one read the instructions completely FIRST!Great value for the money that I paid and I would DEFINITELY purchased another one, if the need arose! and it just might! it is a gorgeous screen with a whole lot of screen space. I have it hooked up to some Bose desktop speakers, don't use the screen speakers at all. The clarity is great when watching a youtube video, watching a movie or editing some personal videos of my own with different software.
