So far opening this car seat I couldn't complaint. First the colors are very vibrant...the car seat stands out it's a beautiful car seat. NOW.......the thing is very very heavy!!! Most likely because of the automotive steel core but yeah it's heavy. I bought because when they said it's convertible I can close it and then seeing some people carry it like a backpack they had me sold since I take UBER a lot but there's no way I'm gonna put this on my back is heavy lol.....but it's a beautiful well made car seat. My baby boy loveeeeeessss it! Transition from a baby car seat to a big boy carseat ❤️

It was time for my little one to upgrade from the basic infant seat, and I was looking for something that would fit her until she no longer needs a car seat/booster but still needed it to be affordable and in our budget. After looking at several other options, this seemed to fit the bill the best.It's very sturdy, and baby loves sitting in it. She's still rear-facing, and loves the extra room she has compared to her old seat.The only complaint was the difficulty we had figuring out how to install it in our vehicle. It took my partner and I both quite a bit of time, and found the manual to be little to no help. Once we finally figured it out, though, it seems very secure and doesn't wiggle or move around at all, so we do feel confident about baby being safe

I switched from Graco to this one once my child moved to forward facing, but that wasn't my plan. I initially bought this as my airport/travel chair, but when it arrived and I felt how heavy it was, that was out but I decided to not return it and I'm so glad I didn't. My child is long and I felt she looked cramped in Graco. So when I changed her position, I took the Diono to the fire department to install (if you don't know, they do this for free) and they said that Diono was the creme de la creme, the best in safety. They said the weight adds value. They installed it SO TIGHT, that I feel soooo secure in the event of an accident that the baby will be alright. They said it's a bit difficult to install, but it was worth the work. It is the last seat I'll buy bc it lasts until 120lbs. It's slim in the car. I'm so pleased and the color is cute!!

I need to have an adult sitting between the baby seats every now and then so I go for narrow car seats. I also have the Graco Tranzitions and a Clek Foonf. The Diono is heavy and strong kind of like the Clek, but narrow and minimalist like the Tranzitions. I would only use this seat rear-facing with the anti-rebound bar.I love the Graco Tranzitions, and my Clek, BUT the former is built out of plastic and the latter is very bulky. The Radian seems to have the best of both worlds, although it's not as light as the Tranzitions and not as sturdy as a Clek.
