Great phone.
Have been using this phone for 6 months now, it's great, easy to use, has everything I need and the camera is amazing. Thinking of getting my kids one each for Christmas as they've taken a shine to it too.

Awesome phone
Excellent phone at a great price. Still very happy with it over a year on from original purchase. A big upgrade on the Pixel 8a I was previously using, having made the mistake of picking up the 8a after I broke my Pixel 6 Pro, but I really missed the superior optical zoom. The fingerprint reader seems more reliable than the 8a, and the face unlock is also a bit quicker. I'll definitely be sticking with the Pixel Pro range in future.

Excellent
Great handset, epic cameras, software can be a little buggy but updates fix them.

a very solid phone
I use very little battery optimization, but despite this it seems to last me a majority of the day. I imagine with battery optimization the phone would last any regular user all day and then some. the phone functions exactly as you'd expect, the animations are quite snappy and the vibration response to your inputs always feels nice. the phone charges at any reasonable speed that most charging bricks provide. I got the phone for 60% off as part of the black Friday sale, so it was a pretty great bargain.my phone occasionally has slight issues with missing inputs when I tap the screen, although this is a very rare issue and has only happened a few times. Otherwise, it's a sleek, fast phone with a great camera to boot

Love my pixel
Upgraded from pixel 6 and surprised at the upgrade. Even better camera than already great 6 . Telphootos great to have. No battery anxiety and lovely looking screen. Fingerprint reader still isn't worlds fastest but face unlock makes up for it. Has all the features and functionality of top tier phone and feels great in hand.Looks sleek in nice colours but I use a slim case anyway

Great phone
Great phone with a nice, simple Android compared to some companies that just fill phones with bloatware. The camera is amazing, with the zoom being a lot more useful than I expected it to be. Overall, the feel of the phone is also very nice.

Still amazing value compared to more modern phones
Amazing value for the money. Great battery life that easily lasts all day. Between the fingerprint scanner and facial scanner can easily get into the phone.

Switching from IOS ? Don’t bother
I just switched from a iPhone 14 Plus and I wished I hadn’t - I’ve had nothing but grief with my new pixel 8 pro -Fresh out of the box it looks great and the Bay colour is fantastic - but the phone was a nightmare from the very start. The software was horrendous, I bought the pixel for the new AI features (best photo, top shot, the AI generated wallpaper) but none of them worked even after multiple updates. The android 14 operating system is terrible on the pixel - the weather app and google search bar cannot be moved from where they are on the screen - even Apple iOS is not that restrictive. The phone took 4 hours to charge even with my turbo Anker charger and when it was charging it got so hot I thought it would burst into flames. This phone is heavy ! It’s almost half a pound - with a case on it’s so heavy it was pulling my trousers down. The camera bump on the rear is massive and very protruding. The camera app is also not great - it’s not as user friendly as the iPhone and low light photos are very poor. The fingerprint reader hardly ever worked (even though I registered 4 different fingers) and the face unlock only ever worked in bright sunlight.Texting was great and the options for keyboards, wallpaper, themes and fonts was incredible- so many styles to choose from. But you cannot set your own ringtone or text tones for certain people. My iPhone would let me assign different tunes for each of my contacts so I knew who was trying to call/text just by listening to the tune - pixel restricts you to there own tune and tones. The pixel has a bright and clear screen with high brightness and fantastic sound - it’s brilliant for watching movies and listening to music and having so many years of updates is fantastic support. It’s a real quandary for me - this pixel really is a case of a gold plated poop. It’s amazing and garbage at the same time.
