This review is for the Google Pixel 8 Pro kickstand, magsafe case from Torras. I've broken down my review into three parts describing features that I consider most important regarding a phone case. I think others searching for a quality case for their own smartphone should find this helpful. Price: I spent a good amount of time searching on Google as well as Amazon looking for a phone case that came with a kickstand. Although this kickstand case by Torras was on the pricier end of the spectrum, it was NOT the most expensive case by far. With many phone cases, you really get what you pay for, so if you you're looking for a good case to protect your phone, you're going to have shell out some money. Fortunately, with this Torras case you get great quality and value. Regarding quality, let's talk about the kickstand. My biggest concern with any kickstand case would be the durability and quality of the kickstand. One of the biggest complaints I found reading reviews for other case providers was that the kickstand oftentimes was flimsy and ultimately failed rather quickly. I'll say that thus far the kickstand on the Torras case feels very sturdy and not at all shaky while propping my phone up. Only time will tell how long the kickstand lasts, but I'll be sure to provide and update if or when it begins to fail. This also comes with a magsafe magnet, but I have yet to use it, so I can't speak to that yet. Fit: Excellent! The case fits very snug on my Pixel 8 Pro. I am not at all fearful of it slipping out of the case. The case profile is also very slim, so the case does not add much bulk to an already big and heavy Pixel phone. The case exterior also provides a nice grip, so it doesn't feel like my phone is going to slip out of my hand. Protection: I've already accidentally dropped my phone a few times with the Torras case on, and my phone remains damage free. Because the fit is so perfect, my phone feels very well protected from edge to edge. Another thing I'll point out that is great about this case is that the interior part of the case does NOT make little microscratches on my phone. I've had cases in the past that have completely scratched up the edges of my phones and thus far I have not had that issue my the Torras case.

Slippery is not an issue, like many complaints here indicated. I wanted to mention it since so many negative reviews come from this issue alone. The slippery property comes from the manufacture process that left some coating on the product after it was made. This is a common issue among toy models such as Gundam. Simply wash it with dish soap or wipe with some sort of cleaning agent before first use, it would no longer be slippery. (If you don't, then it is indeed very slippery straight out of the box lol) Case is an exact fit for my Pixel 9. The cover for the camera lenses is raised around the edge, so the lenses never really touch the surface. The kick stand is sturdy for my initial week of use. It's more useful than many cases out there that only support either landscape or portrait orientation. This kick stand supports both orientations. The magnetic ring in the back is stronger than the other brands I have used before, very satisfied. Overall, I would give this case a 4.5 (due to the initial slippery issue) but I had to choose between a 4 or a 5, I went with a 5 for my overall satisfaction. (I have used countless cases since my first smartphone usage back in 2006)

This is case number five. Kind of.. Originally I purchased one of these cases for my dad and my mom picked out a different brand and look of case for herself. She just wanted different cases so it was easy to tell her phone from his phone. This case worked perfectly for my dad using his new phone with his new magsafe charger. It feels like it's premium quality and that little kickstand is kind of nice to have and doesn't flop out by itself. I tried four different brands of cases that all said they were make safe compatible with my mom's phone. Thankfully she noticed with the very first case that's in less than 10 minutes her phone was starting to get hot on the charger. It also only went up 1% in 10 minutes. This was pretty much the same for four cases total that she tried before getting the same cases my dad, this one, and thankfully there's an easy way to tell the difference between her phone and his phone. Since this case has a transparent back and my dad got the pixel black and my mom got the pixel porcelain, you can easily tell when you glance at the back of the phone which ones the white phone and which ones the black phone. In other words, I should have just ordered two of these cases in the beginning. It's been about 2 weeks that my dad's been using his and it still looks brand new and works fine with magsafe. If his phone is almost dead it will warm up slightly but I wouldn't even call it warm. It's warmer than the temperature in the room but closer to how a phone might feel if somebody had it in their pants pocket for a few hours. I do wish the camera bump on this case stuck out a little bit further past the camera itself, maybe half a millimeter, but that's not really big deal since I have glass camera protectors on their phones.

I bought this case to pair with a Journey Express wireless charger in my car. It was easy to install on the phone and works great with the wireless charger. Off the charger, it has a decent texture and doesn't slip around on smooth surfaces. A nice, slim design that seems more durable than other cases I've tried. As others have stated, it does not work at all with a Gen 2 Pixel Stand. It tries, but the stand light almost immediately goes orange. I bought a Gen 1 stand and it will "mostly" work with that if the phone is set in the exact right spot and pressed tight against the stand. Quite often, though, I will wake up to another orange light and a phone that hasn't been charging. I'd like to be able to use a Pixel stand but with this case it's unreliable so I'll either have to get a MagSafe stand or just use a direct plug in.

I almost changed my mind and sent this case back when I ordered it, but I kept it and now I've been using this case for quite a while, and I'm glad I held on to it. It does a great job of protecting my phone, which I drop constantly. The magnet on the back is wonderful for magnetic popsockets and for magnetic car holders. And the little kickstand has come in handy more times than I can count. After all this time and abuse it's still in great shape.

This is a really nice case. Just good materials and build quality. It just feels good in the hand, grippy but not textured. Just feels very premium. Fits very well, no play. The buttons almost feel like you're actually not using a case. Charges great. Magnet ring is strong.

I was in need of a different case than what I was using, because I like to set my phone on a wireless charger without removing the case. And the one I was using didn't provide that flexibility. Additionally, the way I use my phone, requires that I have a kickstand of some sort. Sort. The description on this case provided both of those elements. And after using and testing the kickstand and wireless charging both work flawlessly! Ease of installation: The case is an excellent fit for my Pixel 8 Pro. It was very easy to slip my phone into the case buttons first, push it in snugly and then snap the rest of it in. The fit is snug but the case is easily removable, if needed. Buttons accessibility: Buttons are sensitive and easy to operate through the case membrane that's provided. No problems there for this application. Durability: Durability is still yet to be seen as I've only had this for a day. The most sensitive part of the case is the kickstand. Previous models of another make /brand. The stand consisted of plastic parts with thin plastic pins lined up in a groove. After using them for less than a year, the pins broke and the kickstand fell out of the groove and became useless. The kickstand for this case appears to be metal with a metal hinge that is formed into the plastic of the case itself, making the attachment much hardier and the hinge much less susceptible to breakage. Time will have to tell but I like this implementation better than what I've had before. Summary: The fit and finish are excellent, and all the highlights of the design hit all my needs wireless charging compatibility, kickstand, and fit perfectly.

This is a nice case, but it does get oily and slippery very easily. The MagSafe ring on the back is not very strong, which can be good if you swap accessories a lot, but it does make me think it is not sturdy enough for a grip device. It is easy to put on, and has a very convenient kickstand that is fairly useful. I have not had any bad accidents with this case so I cannot attest to the protection, but it seems like any other case in that regard. The buttons feel responsive and clicky enough. The clear version is semi-translucent frosted black, and can be seen through. I did notice that the case did not perfectly fit my Pixel 9 Pro; the camera bar is not flush with the case and tends to have a lot of wiggle room.
