Fantastic! 10 stars!
If I could give this seller 10 stars, I would, for both product and service. I bought a set of their gardening equipment at the Ideal Home Exhibition a few years ago. All their products are absolutely fantastic. The ratchet system makes cutting larger boughs really easy. I have used my secateurs so much that I have worn them out so bought another pair, they are that good. When there was a hiccup with Royal Mail delivery, the company sent me a repair kit for my old secateurs, which have now been resurrected, so I have two fantastic products now. Excellent communication and customer service too. Buy this product with the utmost confidence xx

Favourite secateurs
I have had a pair of Jardin de France secateurs before. They lasted (pretty heavily used) for nearly two years before the spring broke. No replacement available, but there was no question of choosing a different make because they are so good, particularly on tough things. The channel that the blade goes into in inclined to clog when cutting softer things.

Good quality pruner
This pruner looks and feels like quality and it works brilliantly too. I am very happy with my purchase and highly recommend it.Just a little bit of advice. Initially I thought my secateur was not working properly as it did not seem to cut straight through the branch I was trying to prune. I contacted the supplier and they responded in under an hour (how's that for service, brilliant) and sent me a video to make sure I was using it correctly. I'm a little embarrassed to say, but I was not using it correctly. The beauty in this pruner, which I have not come across in any of my previous pruners, is it's clever ratchet mechanism. The ratchet makes pruning thicker branches easier and with less effort. To "work" the ratchet you squeeze the handles together, release, then squeeze again and repeat until it has cut through the branch. The clever engineering behind it is beyond my understanding, but all I need to say is that it works :) andI will be sticking with this type of secateur going forward (no more blisters for me)

Good quality secateurs
These are probably the best secateurs you can get, great if your grip is not so good. They have a rachet action which allows cutting through tough woody stems and a good blade which is replaceable. They come in a pouch and ready oiled for use. I also have an old pair of short loppers from them which are equally good.

Best Secateurs Ever
You pay for quality and this is that sort of product. I got one of these as a present and then tried to replace the blade. Unfortunately, the sensitive holding toggle exploded off its housing and disappeared never to be found rendering the old pair redundant. I have a replacement blade and now a new set of secateurs so done for life! They really do cut well and the ratchet action is really helpful in cutting all manner and thickness of vegetation.

Cutting edge technology...
These are my second pair of secateurs from this firm. They replace a worn out pair which suffered spring failure when changing a blade. The secateurs are robust and strong enough to cut easily through wood the thickness of a thumb, using a ratchet mechanism. There is a technique to this, one which needs a small bit of practice, else they won't budge: place the cutting surfaces around the piece to be cut and squeeze the handles together until they won't move any more. Then move the silver handle - the one with the hand-grip loop - open until the ratchet clicks, and then squeeze together again. Repeat the process until the object is cut, leaving surfaces smooth and neat. The secateurs come with a pouch for storage/attachment to trouser belt.My original set was bought at an agricultural show and came with a spare blade included in the price. Spare blades and fastening clips are available at additional cost.

Second pair
That’s only because I was stupid enough to lose my first pair 🙄. I got my first pair from an Ideal Home exhibition at the NEC where they were demonstrating the product. We were impressed so bought a pair. The ratchet system means you can easily cut through a branch that’s an inch in diameter, and possibly a little more. They do make short work of pruning larger branches. My only criticism is that the red plastic catch located on the inside of the handle sometimes engages when using. But not a problem really.Having lost my first pair, to my delight I found that Amazon sell them, so I had to replace like with like.
