This book does focus on the 50 and 200 day moving averages as the primary indicator used for entering and exiting momentum stock trades. There is more to it than just that though. You'll have to read the book to see for yourself. The book is also a very short and a very quick read for which some trashed it for not hardly being a book. For this book and for what it covers very well in my opinion, I like it like that! It did an excellent job of solidly putting momentum stocks in my trader's toolbox. It will be a great reference from which I will be able to quickly find what I need to see again even if it takes reading the whole book again. You can read it that fast! I have only very recently became serious about educating myself to become a trader and have been wading through a lot of books. This one stands out as one of my favorites and I now look forward to exploring more of Matthew Kratter's other books. So, why do I like this book so much? I am a Vietnam ERA Army Aviator that went from high school to Army Flight School in 1973 which was followed by 2 years flying in South Korea before returning back to Fort Rucker where I became a military instructor pilot teaching contact, tactics, NOE, nighthawk, and NVG. In Korea I got to enjoy an actual Vietnam Vet in the next seat for my first three months in country showing me the ropes until I became a PIC (Pilot in Command) calling the shots myself. I was in good hands and stood on the shoulder's of some mighty excellent aviators to set me up for a very rewarding (as far as job enjoyment) career as a helicopter pilot who had the right stuff until I was medically grounded in 2006. Due to what I considered a good job right out of high school that provided sufficiently for my needs, I have never been very financially ambitious. After I could no longer fly, my wife stepped up to the plate and became an RN to meet our needs. I've explored different possibilities to allow me to help, but none of them have proved possible or practicable for me. Recently family events have cause my wife to stretch herself even thinner increasing my motivation to help in some way. Trading came on my radar as means for me to step up to the plate and once again become my family's primary breadwinner if I am able to acquire the right stuff. Believe me, it is not easy! There is so much to wade through separating the precious from the worthless and everyone is vying for your money of which I have precious little. Even though my Army Flight School class had a 50% nutrition rate, the Army made it very easy to become a helicopter pilot hand feeding you what you needed when you needed it. The men whose shoulders I got to stand on in Korea, Harry Stevenson, Mac Cookson, Duane Gulker, Bill Hinton, Chuck Hutchinson, and more helped imbue me with the right stuff to make me a competent and capable helicopter pilot that could accomplish a flight like the one that involved the included picture. That picture is kinda like "Learn to Trade Momentum Stocks" in that you'd have to hear the story and see the pictures that go with it to fully understand why it is not as dangerous as the the picture makes it look. And, you also have to read Momentum Stocks for yourself to find out why it is about more than just the 50 day and 200 day moving average indicators as one negative reviewer stated and precious enough to me to take the time to write this review regardless of its short (just right) length. Just like being successfully selected for Army Flight School was no guarantee that you would complete the course or become a good helicopter pilot even if you did, with 90% of traders losing money I know there is no guarantee that I'll be fortunate enough to be one of the consistent profitable winners. Authors like Matthew Kratter will help though, if I have half a chance. I'm only at the beginning of my Trading Journey (though I'm starting to feel like I'm finally beginning to get some solid trading legs under me) however I strongly feel after reading "Learn to Trade Momentum Stocks" that Matthew Kratter will always be one of the tall shoulder's of excellent traders I've had the privilege of standing on if I successfully acquire the right stuff to become a competent, profitable, and successful trader. I'm quite grateful this is one of the trading books I chose to read. Thank you Matthew Kratter! Review: Very helpful, great took includes strategic advice - Very easy to read, very helpful. Use a highlighter! Read again an and again. This is a great book and a great reference to keep on your desk as you learn to trade. Love it!

An Excellent Total Training Package at a very affordable price.
Excellent! Matthew has written another winning trading guide book. He lays out succinctly and straight to the point the steps to take to trade momentum stocks, when to enter, when to exit, etc. He explains very clearly what are momentum stocks and gives some excellent examples to illustrate the price action history from entry to exit. Included with the book is a free video tutorial to teach us how to screen for momentum stocks plus a link to a charting app and an excel spreadsheet to calculate the revenue growth. And he gives great email support. Seriously, what more can we ask for? Its a total training package at a very affordable price from a veteran in the trading trenches, who is most generous and genuine in wanting to help traders navigate the trading terrain. You can tell from the direct and succinct hand-holding way Matthew writes and his video teachings and his emails. Thank you very much Matthew! I only wish you came on the scene much earlier! I have lost so much in the stock market being irrational on the choice of stocks to invest and trade in and in the wrong timings in entries and exits. This book and Matthew’s other books and his Trader University course, are all highly recommended. You will not regret getting them.

Straight Forward Explanation
Good book. Little to no jargon. Straight forward and direct. Charts are hard to read on an iPad. Worth re-reading.

Action-oriented book focused on the Author's Technical Analysis Trading Methodology (which seems to be something like the MACD technique). Recommended for beginners.

I found this book to be very informative, and the information was delivered in an incredibly easy to understand manner. Matt uses simple, concise language that is especially conducive to learning for a new trader/investor. He doesn't make wild claims, nor does he claim to know it all, he conveys a message of an everyday guy with some knowledge to share for other everyday people to begin the learning and investment journey. Now to implement the knowledge and start to create my own strategy along the way! Thanks Matt, this is the second book I have read of yours and I daresay I will invest in a few more.

A good book on how to trade momentum stocks. It explains how to identify possible momentum stocks, when to go for long or short positions and when to exit. Really excited about the other books from the author.

It explains the basic steps of the classic trend following strategy. You will learn how to identify suitable stocks, define buy/sell signals, position sizing, and get a short briefing on risk management.
