Since this is a fuse, it is there for protection and is hard to test in place. Works great for transmission,, hope it will work well in an over-current situation. This type of fuse installs on a post. So make sure you have a post long enough to take this and any connector lugs. It seems well-made.

Safety first, right?
This will be used to protect all the extra lights on my F350 Super Duty pickup truck.There are a LOT of lights and they draw a lot of current.Yes, there is already a fuse on the terminal block the lights are connected to but I was never happu with the quality of it. This will solve that issue.When it comes to marine grade or waterproof fuses - it doesn't get much better than this.Keep in mind that to use something like this you will need a 'South Bend Components (or different brand) Marine Rated Battery Fuse (MRBF) Terminal Block' or something just like it. These are not 'normal' fuses.Overall, I think this is a great deal and a good bargain. What's safety worth to you?
