Excellent quality at a great price. I am impressed with the signal range on these. I've used them with a laptop computer and cell phone and the sound quality is excellent. I like being able to switch between mono and stereo mode, and that I can record directly to each individual microphone's memory while I'm transmitting to the receiver and recording into the laptop of my phone in case there's a transmission failure. I can also forego carrying the receiver and just carry one small mic to record, if I want, then download it later. I was curious about plugging in an auxiliary mic, like a lavalier mic, into the 3.5mm (1/8") socket on each mic to see if I can get better sound quality but I wasn't able to get that to work. UPDATE: I figured it out! The 3.5mm jack needs a line level audio signal, not a mic level signal, which is far too low to be usable. You can't directly plug in a lav mic or other 1/8" mic, but if you amplify the mic level signal with a mic preamplifier or a mixer to line level, it works perfectly. You can also take music or other audio from the headphone jack of a device, plug it in, and transmit it to the receiver. You could conceivably split a stereo signal and feed left and right separately to the two transmitters with the receiver set to stereo mode and send it across the room. The range is fantastic and will even go through a wall or two if you're within, say, about a hundred feet. This was not the original purpose for which I bought these but adds incredible flexibility to an already great wireless mic set. I already have some new uses in mind. The included wind muffs dramatically improve recordings outdoors. And, yes, the mic/ transmitters will handle being dropped, which I've done more than I wanted to. For great sound quality, range, flexibility (it comes with a bunch of adapter cables), its intuitive touchscreen interface, stereo/mono mode, and the case which also recharges the transmitters and receiver, the Ulanzi AM18 easily gets my enthusiastic 5 star rating.

I took a chance on this budget wireless mic set and so far I have not been disappointed! Audio quality is great, operation is intuitive, and so far has worked great at every project I've thrown at them. If I had to pick one negative it would be the volume is a little low although I do not set them at +10 (the max gain), I run them at +5 (range is -10 to +10 gain) to be sure I don't get any clipping. For me it is not an issue as I run the audio recordings through Audacity for equalization and normalization then I increase the gain as needed in editing for my YouTube videos. Takes a couple extra steps but the results are fantastic compared to my previous mic setup. I am very happy with these mics. @shanesdiy YouTube channel.

New update: you can use faraday tape to block the EFI. I used 1" faraday tape for the cheap and easy fix. Cut for 3cm pieces of tape. Start at the molding seam by the volume buttons on the side opposite the mic jack side. Wrap to the front. Add a second piece of tape for better protection. One layer did well. Two layers work great. Then I taped the other piece just where it covers the logo. You can see the pics for examples. This totally eliminated my interference problems. Still no fix for the non changing gain levels on the display despite changing the settings. At first, these seem like a gem- too good to be true. They are! If you plug in a Lavalier "lav" mic into the input, it will have an UNBEARABLE buzz. I have tried this with four different mics- Azden, Polsen, Rode, and a couple of cheap, unbranded backup mics. All were Terrible with the Rode being the worst. A cheap mic labeled "YouMic" was best but still unusable. There is a serious shielding issue (thus super lightweight) that you can mitigate by holding the Tx in your hand (just the right way). This makes it useless as everyone "talks" with their hands. Nowhere can I go where I do not get interference. I tried in a few locations. DO NOT BUY! Even if you aren't using a lav mic now- you will want to plug a mic in it one day to "solve" an issue or need. That day you will be very disappointed! Oh- they also show the same SPL level on the meter no matter the level you set- making visually checking for clipping or levels IMPOSSIBLE!

Can’t get these to work. Get an awful sound and high pitch noise. I’ve tried to ask Ulanzi for help and they quit replying but by golly I still get emails to buy more stuff. Can’t return them and now stuck with them. Would I recommend these to another customer? No. If someone can help me and get them to work, I may change my review rating.

I have used it for months and I loved it, the quality is very good and for the price it is an excellent investment

Not a bad mic for CERTAIN Situations. Please keep in mind that I am a wedding videographer and the context of my review is based on that. There is a noticeable interference with DJ mic systems when the transmitter is near the DJ Mic. This happens to my Rode Go as well IF I keep the receiver on, but in that case if I turn the receiver off the interference is not longer an issue. The problem here is that even if I try that here there is still a significant amount of interference. secondly the internal audio recording is only recorded to the right track, the left track is essentially blank, and this happens on both recorders. I can see many use cases for this for many other situations, but for my situation I think this won't work for me. The audio quality is decent, as for the build quality it is quite light and feels a bit plastic-y and cheap.

Aunque al día en el que estoy publicando esta opinión el precio ha subido un poco, debo decir que sigue siendo un excelente producto pues por este costo, ofrece una excelente calidad tanto de construcción, de diseño, operatividad y calidad de audio tomando en cuenta que hablamos de micrófonos de gama baja o gama media y sin embargo el desempeño es fabuloso. Para lograr resultados mucho más profesionales, recomiendo procesar la señal grabada y sin embargo aún la señal sin procesar, ofrece una calidad bastante buena para equipos portátiles como celulares o tablets. Los cables incluidos son de calidad estándar y la bolsa transportadora es muy buena, además de qué las baterías son duraderas y en general estoy muy contento con el producto.

Audio quality is comparatively similar and nice with the other competitors, I thought of using it for event coverage videos but mics too loud and -10 dB feels not enough but for vlogging and interviews this will be a great option. Packaging is really good too, I felt the plastic body of the mic can be better as each time the mic is placed back in the charging case it gets scratched easily.

Nothing really comes close to these for value for money. They do an excellent job and I particularly like their small wind muffs which do a great job outdoors. I have two sets of these.

Eu ia comprar de outra marca, mas resolvi arriscar. Não me arrependo, pois é tão bom quanto a outra marca, B… Já usei várias vezes e a bateria demora a acabar. Quando passo as filmagens pro computador, o áudio sai ótimo.
