The media could not be loaded. I've been building up my smart home system over the last couple of years and as much as possible, I tried to keep the cost down. In my product choices, I also try to keep things local. If I can avoid having a product to go the cloud, I'll do it. With that said, I've been reluctant to spend the money on motorized blinds because they are just really expensive. My experience with the Astomi Smart Blinds is that sometimes, you need to bite the bullet and spend that money because sometimes, you get what you pay for.A couple of things factored into my decision to take the plunge. First is that the Astomi has zigbee support which would fit my requirement that my home automation devices stay local and second, I found that due to the placement of a large desk in front of my old blinds, my kids had a hard time opening them and would usually turn on the lights rather than take advantage of the bright sun that's outside. I've always tried to encourage them to allow as much sunlight in as possible. With motorized blinds, they can not only open the blinds more easily, I can actually program them to open during the day and close at night.I customized my Astomi Smart Blinds during the ordering and they arrived after about 2 weeks.Installation was straightforward and the motor stopping points were preprogrammed to the correct length. All I needed to do after installation was charge the curtain rod and control it via the remote control.The next step was to connect the blinds to my home automation system. While I did order the zigbee hub with the blinds just in case the Astomi had some non-standard zigbee protocol like Aqara products, I'm happy to report that these blinds connected to my Home Assistant system through zigbee2mqtt and all functionality was automatically recognized.It was then a simple addition to my dashboard and configuration to have full voice and app control over the blinds.I love this thing! I have it open 30 minutes after sunrise and 40 minutes before sunset.

It came packaged very well with 5 mounting brackets, the remote for up to 16 blinds and a charging cable. My only recommendation is to line up the brackets perfectly to make the installation smoother even though the valance is pretty forgiving. Will definitely buy more for my other windows.

I ordered these custom-size blinds. They fit perfectly! The blinds were motorized and easy to install and set up. They look great in our living room! I would certainly recommend this company to others.

So I decided to search on Amazon and saw this brand which was much more affordable then the lowes ones. We went ahead and ordered not knowing what to expect. I was amazed at how fast the blinds got delivered and how well they were packaged. The installation was super simple, took less then 5 minutes. And the best part was to open and and close the blinds with a single channel remote that I can mount anywhere! We got two blinds for two different locations in the house, so we needed single channel remote for each blind and this was the only company that offered that. Simple, clean and beautiful blinds!

I received these “zebra blinds” only to discover they are actually motorized shades. It took me one month to receive them, because they were shipped from China. Daylight comes through these shades easily, and my room appears not to have anything covering the windows at all due to the brightness. The instructions are not clear, and I had difficulty programming them, because the instructions were not written with clarity. I never could get them to work with Alexa as stated that they would. I was unable to get customer service to assist me via live person, it was all my way of email, which was very frustrating and aggravating. I returned the Shades. I ordered Graywind Zebra Shades, and there is a stark difference in quality and ease of set up. I didn’t notice the reviews from this company until afterwards, and they were all from people who had not been verified purchasers. I paid less for these blinds, and you get what you pay for. I have no regret paying almost twice as much with Graywind.
