Swiftflying OTTO arduino Nano Robot Open Source Maker Obstacle Avoidance DIY Humanity Playmate 3D

I ordered this robot more than a month ago at a time when I did not know anything about the Otto Robot. Since then I built 4 robots on my own using the DIY instructions. This one however was a disappointment. It took more than 1 month to arrive, which is understandable, but it had the components messed up. First, the Arduino Nano did not have the bootloader properly flashed. Second, the metal employed for the contacts in the battery holder is messed up (high resistance) and the result is not enough power to the robot. Finally, this version robot provides no way to mount the on-off switch to the base. Worst part is that it took me 5-6hrs spread over three days to troubleshoot all the issues. A complete beginner would've probably given up in the first 10min. Do yourself a favor and build your own Otto... this one is not worth it. I wanted badly to give this robot a good review, but that was impossible with the unit that I received.
