These worked out great in the parcel shelf of my 03 Miata. It did require removing and using tin snips on the parcel shelf as well as a bit of hammering to smooth out dips in the sheet metal. I cut gaskets for these out of rubberized material. Very good bass from what I consider smallish speakers. I highly recommend Pioneer speakers and would but them again without hesitation.

Installed on 03 civic. Replaced some blown out stock speakers.Sound:Not anything crazy but definitely an upgrade from stock speakers. As for bass, there’s some thump but not a lot. I dont have tweeters or an amp so it’s literally just 4 speakers in my car but it sounds great. It’s a $30 speaker so I’d say it’s well worth the price and hassle especially if yours are blown.Fit:Had to flip it upside down so it would sit more flush with the speaker hole on my door. Apparently my car’s speakers hole is weird and no one makes mounts for them so I had to drill some holes. No big deal.I definitely recommend getting some adapters to connect to the speaker to your stock harness. Other than that solid upgrade

I read alot of reviews prior to purchasing these speakers, and i have a few things to point out.These speakers sound great when paired with the proper head unit, i am using one of pioneers cheaper dvd touch screen head units and these sound great for mids and highs. Lows are not great with these speakers but they are not made for bass, they are made for mids and highs.Many reviews with bad ratings on here dont take into account the stereo they are using and complain about poor sound and having no/low/poor volume and that is because many stock units are poorly powered @ 15 - 20 watts per channel, i suggest using 20watt pioneer speakers for stock stereos especially on older cars. These speakers are made for 40-50 watts rms you need to match rms power not max power, max power is only what the speaker will handle in short spurts.Pairing a 40 watt speaker and a head unit that pushes 15-20 watts rms will have poor peeformance and could damage the stereo in the long run by pulling to much power from the channel.

Speakers are great quality and good for a speaker swap from N/As or extra add ins. Though I already had a setup with a 1000 WATT amp that gives 85 WATTS rms for speakers and a 12" sub. My OEM speakers could only handle up to a certain volume before it got choppy since they're each 25 WATTS rms. I've decided to try these pioneers that can perform at 45 WATTS rms. The speaker sound quality is good but the bass was was getting "knocky" which was no surprise due to the 85 WATTS rms of amp output. Overall these speakers are great quality for the price and performs great when its in a proper setup.

The factory speakers in my 2017 Tacoma were blown and sounded horrible. Using mounting adapters, these speakers fit in the doors and sound great.

The factory speakers in my 19 year old sequoia we’re definitely due to be replaced. These went in nicely. They sound great. Better than the original for sure. They’re definitely not top shelf speakers but they put out great sound nonetheless. I’m also impressed with the bass. I had low expectations for the bass notes based off other reviews. These definitely bump for what they are though. If you’re in the same boat I was, these are a perfect replacement and well worth the price tag.

I replaced the factory speakers with these Pioneer drivers in 2022. They have held up well and they still sound great. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.
