This is not your ordinary hot plate. I do cook in the kitchen but my wife frowns on my using the kitchen stove to make my custom wood finishes. So I bought this induction hot plate to avoid open flames in a woodshop. It works great!!! As long as you a steel or iron cookware, i.e. steel cans, stainless steel, cast iron, etc. it would work. Heats quickly and maintains various temperature precisely. The top itself never gets hot, only the steel cookware and its contents. I use it mostly as a double boiler to melt beeswax and linseed oil, etc. So once your done, you can put it back into its box immediately, no waiting for it to cool since it never gets hot.

Very good induction cooker, it is portable and you can take it wherever you want, it only works with stainless steel pots, good heat and has several heat levels. When you finish cooking, it cools quickly, it's very safe.

Right out of the box, it was obvious the product had been used. It was dirty, had wear marks, and didn’t look new. I still tried to use it, but it doesn’t work—it shuts off after a few seconds and doesn’t heat properly, even with compatible pans. It’s unacceptable to receive something in this condition. I feel scammed. I do not recommend this item and expect a refund without having to return something that arrived in bad shape.

Lightweight & very safe; somewwhat comprehensive. The instructions are ok - thanks for the magnet. My issues - why aren't we told the temperatures of the preset settings??? How to set the timer wasn't very clear. This item is worth the money if it is an addition to to your kitchen.

As an over the road truck driver I bought this to use while on the road. It works as stated. Easy to operate and clean. Super easy to store and have an awesome heat source for cooking on the go.I use it at home as while. Sometimes when the wife and I are cooking together, it's easier to set this up on the counter top. It gives us more room to cook.I'm seriously thinking of changing over our electric stove with an induction stove. The heat is quicker and once done you don't have to worry about getting burned if you touch the cooking surface.

Is heated up my pot nicely and cooked very well, the issue I had with it is the pot got too close to the control panel it started to melt the control panel. So if you do buy this item, keep your pot away for the control part of the panel or will start to deform it. Other than that, it seems to work fine.

Very light because it is plastic which makes it also very portable. That's why I wanted it. I have a plastic one in Europe and love it. *that* one works just fine. *THIS* one, doesn't work. (A fantastic cookware piece, if interested, search: JEMPSEY Stainless Steel Wok Pan with Lid.)Results: This one (the WAATFEET) DID NOT HEAT the water even after 25 min. Only a few bubbles at the bottom of the pan started forming after about 20 min.The other (oldie and goodie) induction heated the water to bubbling steam in 4 min 48 seconds.So, yes, believe the ones that say it does not work. Because, it does not work.As an aside, I ordered a new one and supposedly I received anew one, but it had a deep scratch near the minus sign and circular scratches around it as is someone had tried to smooth the scratch.Of course it is going back. I only wish I could find a good working plastic light induction plate somewhere :-(
