Taste good. Have to hydrate it but worth it. Freezes well for later use too.

For the packaging is just as described. Haven't tried them yet in a new recipe so I'm looking forward to that. I'll let you all know how they taste later wish me luck with that new recipe.

Great in Soups...

I bought these online when I was unaware that there was a local Asian market. I wanted to make hot and sour soup and this was an ingredient. I was amazed at how incredibly much these freeze dried mushrooms grew when liquid was added. I mean, it grew into a mushroom that I recognized from hot and sour soups I’ve purchased when I’ve been out. Delicious, and there’s enough for another batch of my recipe!

I love all other dried mushrooms I’ve tried. These were dried properly, but didn’t have much taste. Disappointing. I will have to find a grocery store that carries the wood ears near me. Maybe it’s the type of mushroom and not the brand…

Soak well and cook well. Good product.
