Lonely Planet Cyprus (Travel Guide)

Essential guide when visiting Cuprus. Up-to-date and relevant with excellent, well researched commentary and recommendations make this an essential guide particularly if you new to Cyprus. We visited the sites and ate in restaurants as recommended and found the reviews to be an accurate and all round reliable description. I will definitely be purchasing Lonely Planet guides to accompany future travels!

I am a university student (20 years old) and I find that some of the other travel guides are filled with... boring... activities. This lonely planet guide is most definitely aimed at younger travellers and has some fantastic stuff in it! Very pleased!

We bought this as a general guide on the basis that it was the most up to date of those available. It was useful both before the trip for the purposes of planning and whilst we we in Cyprus. It is light on photographs (The DK Eyewitness Guide is much better in this regard although less useful for the practical aspects). I didn't think much of the restaurant and hotel information but these days the internet is more useful anyway, although the guide is helpful if you are looking for accommodation at the more off-the-beaten track places. When it comes to places of interest it is better, with reasonable maps/plans and descriptions.

Great book, only one we could find that had been recently published. Visited lots of the recommended places, restaurants, bars etc. Will use again when we go to another area of Cyprus in future.

Brilliant guide, we have been to Cyprus quite a few times but we have found things in the guide we hadn't seen before. Looking forward to our next trip.

I knew nothing about Cyprus before booking a last minute deal. We were there for a week and as we’re not sun lounger and pool people, the book was handy for planning out our days.

I have the 2 previous editions. This is simply the best guide ever. I only wanted to have the latest edition. It never fails to impress me with its accuracy, reader-friendly style, and clarity.

La guida ha un approccio pratico ed è poco prolissa. Ho scelto la versione in inglese perchè costa un quarto di quella in italiano!

irgendwie nicht so hilfreich. So richtige Insights sind auch nicht dabei. Sehr viel Platz wurde im Buch dem türkischen Norden gewidmet. Kritische Töne wären auch hilfreich, so z.B. zum Schmutz auf der Insel, null Recycling und dem schrecklichen Los der vielen Tiere.

As usual with Lonely Planet guides .... the good descriptions in the guide were our best guide. Up to date version.
