This is some great fabric!
The first thing I always do with new fabrics is test it and test it I did. I turned on the kitchen faucet with great water pressure and held the Ottertex under the water for something like 5 seconds and turned it around and did the same thing to the other side. A quick snap of the fabric and it was DRY, Fantastic! and a little hard to believe. I use this 200D to line my pouches and bags I fabricate for easier sight recognition of what I put into the pockets. Its also comforting to know when caught in the rain or a quick accidental trip in the river, lol, my electronics will be safe and not instantly damaged. For the price range of this fabric it is very impressive material. Looking forward to my next purchase! Update, 7/22/24. My second order and still great fabric for pouch and bag lining, waterproof, light weight and strong!

Great fabric quick delivery.
This Ottertex was an awesome little pice of fabric! I sewed it over my Horses blanket. It made it totally waterproof.

Not Ideal for Heavy-Duty Use
I was hoping for a thicker material to use for extending an annex to a rooftop tent, but this fabric turned out to be thinner than expected. It does seem durable and would probably work well for lighter projects, like making a tablecloth or other indoor/outdoor coverings.

Know this before you buy
There are many types of ripstop woven fabrics. I may have overlooked that, while it does have a nanotech dwr coating, it is nothing like PU coated ripstop, cordura, silnylon, etc. Much less water resistant and only repellant. Also flimsy. This would be an okay fabric for skin contact or interiors. Like another reviewer mentioned "just polyester" Definitely has the feel of that brief description but I have tested it under the faucet and it does repel water. Recommended used by seller- Kites- sure Tents- nope Hammocks- nope, wouldn't trust this to hold weight no matter the seam quality Sleeping bags- sure windbreakers- sure, with a stress on the "wind" part Camping equipment- maybe a pillow case cover. pretty thin for a bag, alone, unless backed or interface used and doesn't seem like it would repel dirt or stains. PROS- BREATHABLE and still lightweight. Just sharing my own learning experience since I am still trying out fabrics on Amazon. This one just happens to be around 6.99/yd with a $4.35 return postage fee so it makes sense to keep it whether I like it or not. Going back to the ripstop dealers that just take a bit longer to arrive.

Durable tent material, but sheer.
I used this to construct the pop up sides of a homemade pickup camper. I sewed in a door and held it in place with wiggle wire aluminum channel. The material held up to several months of very hard use. I wore some holes in it, but only after having rubbing issues while bouncing over thousands of miles of jeep roads. All in all, could not be happier. Just a note, 200 Denier weight seemed like pretty standard recreational tent fabric. I was worried it would not be pliable, but it had a very light flexible feel. For my application I would go a little thicker if ordering again. It is also sheer, in that when backlit you can see right through it. It is not a privacy curtain, but it is super tough for the weight and has some water, dust, and even air resistant qualities. I had very strong winds blowing against the sides while pulled taunt and yet barely felt a breeze. All in all a remarkable durable product.

Not waterproof, dustproof, etc...
Nice fabric, but is not waterproof, dustproof, airproof, nor any of the other 'proofs' they claim. The material has a nice appearance and feel, but no good for any of the 'proofs' mentioned. Tried to use is for a dustproof sawdust bag, and it leaves a trail of sawdust everywhere it goes.
