Ant squatters removed from our house by MaxForce
This summer we had a big ant problem as our cat spilled his kitty food around from his dish. Nothing worked as I tried numerous bait traps and even homemade ones. They weren't buying what used to work in the past. My pest control guy was spraying for our ten year termite bond and said to get MaxForce. He said his customers have told him that it really works. I tried it and in about 2-3 days we were ant free and really pleased with the product. I will be buying it again at the first ant sighting.

Always does the trick for any mounds
I live on the edge of the woods and every summer I get ant mounds protruding into my yard. This granular bait is perfect! I sprinkle some around the mound, and not on it, and usually by the next day the mound is no longer active and it stays that way. The container is large enough that I don't run out quickly and it keeps me out of contact with the actual bait for my safety. A small price to pay to keep the ants at bay!

It works -- application could be improved
Last summer I had good results keeping ants out of the house with the Max Force ant bait stations. So, this year I decided to go with this product and treat the entire perimeter. It seems to be working well; I haven't seen an any in the house for over a month and counting. One caveat: the way application is set up is very wasteful of the product, and at $73/jug this stuff isn't exactly cheap. It's a granular product, and the lid has two openings -- one for shaking through holes (like an over-sized salt-shaker), and the other for pouring. shaking would be the more economical way to apply this. Unfortunately, the way the lid is attached, the shaker holes are at the top, making them impossible to use without loosening the cap -- which then falls off and dumps product everywhere.I ended up using the "pour" side of the lid, which did face downward -- but ultimately I ended up applying a lot more than I probably needed. It does wipe out the ants, though. If they designed a better distribution lid for this, I would give this product five stars.ETA: October 30, 2023: This stuff works great. Kept my home ant-free for four months now. I'm anticipating that the fall rains will wash any residual product away, so I plan on re-applying in the spring. They still need to improve the application method, but even so, I highly recommend this product. My home has not been completely ant-free for this long, in years. Five stars for effectiveness.

Works on all ants except caroenter
If you control the ants who raise bad bugs like aphids like cattle you can avoid other insect controls because the ants chase of good bugs that eat there aphids. Use continuously on my farm in mounds and just a little bit. It only lasts long enough for the queen to eat it

The best
Terrific product idf you live in the tropics.Very effective on many different species of ants. I now sprinkle it about for regular maintenance. A shake in the trash can every time emptied especially effective it appears. A littgoes a long ways but wortevery dollar if you want to be ant-free

Kills Crickets and Earwigs
We live on a 3 acre plot carved out of a hayfield. Bought the house last year and couldn't believe the swarms of crickets in our yard (and eventually in our garage) starting in late July. I mean the garage became infested with them and they have many places to escape to and hide once they get in. A few even found their way into the house. I knew I had to do something to limit their numbers this year so I researched many products/methods.The Maxforce is pretty pricey but decided to try it. After about 3 weeks or so there are far fewer crickets in the area immediately surrounding the house, and only a few have gotten into the garage. We try to keep garage doors closed as much as possible, too. I find quite a few dead or dying crickets near the house so I'm sure this stuff kills them. I also applied it in other parts of the yard where I saw huge numbers of crickets, so as to do a pre-emptive strike. There are too many to kill them all but it drastically reduces their numbers. I also find dead or dying earwigs near the garage doors so it looks like they eat the stuff, too. Good.I do worry about any effect on birds and animals that eat crickets. Turkeys are in the yard every day picking them up and I have not seen any obvious negative affects so far. But this stuff has done it's intended purpose so far. I've learned to hate crickets and seeing fewer of them makes me happy.

Expensive, but worth it
We have a very serious ant problem in my area. I've used those Terro boric acid gels (which used to work very well for us), but I think we must have one of those ant species that forms super colonies in the area now as the last time I used the gel, I went through 18 traps with no end in site before I gave up and sprayed the perimeter.I then found out about this bait after a bit of research. While still a poison (read the warnings, don't use around pets, etc.), it works fantastic. Whether it's acting as an actual bait like Terro (the ants take it home where it gets eaten and kills the colony) or it acts as a barrier because they don't like it I don't care - the only time I see an ant inside the bait perimeter is when I need to re-apply.
