Flea collars
Product wasn’t quite what it said on packet as this stated kills fleas, the ones that arrived were repels fleas, not really an issue as he only wears one to ensure he doesn’t pick any up when outside, they were also slightly cheaper, I was still more than happy with the product.

This works!
We have two cats and have been using vet prescribed flea treatment drops for many years. One of the cats recently developed an allergy to the treatment which resulted in him scratching off a large patch of fur causing bleeding and raw skin. We tried several brands of these treatments but they all seemed to cause problems. We decided to try a flea collar and this one is reflective which is great as he goes outside. It’s certainly worked as he doesn’t scratch and pull off his fur anymore and he’s been flea free for nearly 8 months. Only downside is that he is a bit bald where the collar has rubbed his fur off (but it doesn’t seem to bother him)and we now have to give him regular worming treatments. Given the huge difference in cost between this and the vet meds, we decided to try our older cat on the collar. It is exactly the same outcome. No problems apart from a little fur loss on his neck. This is a really good option but do remember that you will still have to worm them regularly which isnt a major faff really. Would definitely recommend.

Easy to fit
Easy to fit even on a cat with 20 legs lashing out. Not so sure on strength of repellent as still having to treat them regular but they don’t bother the cats

Ok as a collar. Useless flea protection
If you're looking to control fleas, search for something else but if all you want is a visibly superior cat collar then this is one for you.

The best collar
I’ve been buying this collar for 6 years now. They are amazing. You can see your cat at night as it’s reflecting , hear because of the bell , and works great for fleas ! Especially when your cat it outdoor cat as well. Also i got another little kitten , she was in poor flea condition and I didn’t have anything else at that night at home just this spare collar , I put it on her and fleas started dropping like flies .. it’s absolutely great collar ! Sad they don’t have proper pink one but well you cannot have everything 😄

Not affecting fleas at all
I have been using the beaphar cat flea and tick collars for over 20 years and I have always found they worked really well, anyone who has a pet will know that fleas will still jump onto your pet because they need to come in contact with the product for the flea to die and I have never worried about the odd flea but over the last year I have noticed that the beaphar collars are no longer working. I will have the plastic collar normally but every couple of months I do like to give the cats a break from the plastic and will then use the velvet collar for 4 weeks before putting the plastic collars back on. I have also got a female cat who is very sensitive to flea and tick treatments, ear mite treatment and wormer treatment but so far she is absolutely fine with both the plastic and velvet collars, so having a flea killer treatment that works without any awful side affects for her is very important. So to now realise that these collars really are not working anymore is upsetting as my cats are not comfortable anymore. I understand that fleas are becoming immune to the treatments and I do feel that these companies need to change the ingredients used so they successfully kill fleas and gives our pets proper protection

Our cat likes to bring all the ticks to the yard
We get these to repel ticks after advice from the vet.We don't use it for fleas because he gets the spot on stuff but our cat likes to go into fields with horses nearby and bring back ticks on his neck. In the summer it can be 4 or 5 at a time each night, absolutely minging. Now we stick one of these on and they don't often want a ride with our little feline friend any more. Bonus that it's good for visibility if he goes near the road with the fluorescent colour.
