I’m going to talk first about the product itself. The taste and effect as which I think is most important when buying. I saw a lot about the packaging and that unfortunately happens during shipping. And not the producers fault. Effects & Taste: I think these mimic in a light way, dark liquor. I’ve included the back which gives a suggestion how to consume. Kin website gives more recipes. I used to drink but due to my condition, being without alcohol will help me recover faster. I’m no addict but do enjoy a nice beverage at times. And I would consider myself a picky enjoyer of fine mixed drinks. This did it for me. Day time drink (High Rhode), and evening (Dream Light). High Rhode gives a lovely boost of positive mood. And a small kick of energy. I mix H.R. with a sparkling flavored soda (bout 4-6oz). I’m sure a juice would be fine. Very refreshing. Dream Light; it really relaxes me and I get a really good nights rest. I feel so relaxed that I sleep on time. I have trouble sleeping due to anxiety and other things. So I love this one in particular. A true night cap. You could drink this on it’s own like a shot I suppose. Not the best taste in its own (it’s made to be mixed), but I don’t know what “liquor” does haha. I love them both. I’d say I feel the effects maybe between 15-30mins. Depending on how much you ate. Packaging: As you can see, it was packed with care, and arrived safe. I’ve gotten plastic bottles that burst open due to lack of care from drivers. So please keep that in mind. It’s not Kins fault. I find it strange when people get upset at the producer when it’s the shipping responsibility (90% of the time). Makes it hard to gauge the real product. Only Con: It is somewhat pricey. You get 11-14 servings from a bottle. Making it about $2.30ish a glass. Not bad. High Rhode does say you need to consume within 14 days. But that’s fine. Not a deal breaker. Just means the ingredients lose its effects as time goes on so I understand completely. I don’t want to ingest bad preservatives just to make the product last longer. Overall: I’ll definitely buy again. Hoping the price can be in the mid or low $20’s eventually to buy habitually. Mid or high teens would be amazing. Otherwise, $65ish every 3ish weeks is a lot.

So, for some background I've recently quit alcoholic beverages and I've been looking for a substitute for social drinking situations. I've been looking something to replicate the "let your hair down", playful and relaxing side effects of booze w/o the actual...yah kno...booze. My taste leans towards tart, bitter or botanical things. I don't like highly sweetened things much, or cocktails that are basically using sugar to hide the booze flavor. A lot of people don't like Kin b/c of the taste. To which I would say...a lot of alcohol isn't the best tasting at first. This tastes a lot like black unsweetened tea that has sat in the sun. Which to me tastes better than most booze. It's also really easy to mix, but you're going to have that left over odd flavor. It's not a bad taste, but I'd say if you don't like botanical flavors or your look looking for something like juice or coke than you're going to either not like this or have to mix it a ton. You can mix it and have it taste pretty good if you like diverse flavors and trying new things. If you're picky about flavors this may not be for you. Now...on to how it made me feel. At first I did like a two tablespoons to a half can of seltzer with a splash of juice. I felt nothing. I went back and did about a 1/4 cup of the Kin to half can of seltzer. About half way through I could feel it. It felt like a nice buzz, and would be great for social drinking. I wasn't dizzy or anything, but it did make me feel a little goofier than normal (placebo or real idk) but I was drinking with a friend and we both enjoyed it...laughed a lot. I would say mess with the ratio to see what works for your body. I would say this is a pretty good product and worth a try. I think it will come down to flavor preference and your bodies response to different drinks. Side note: Not a promotion, just something I've found works for me. If you're looking into something like this I would suggest you also try HOP WTR the 12pk variety pack. It's got no sugar, no side effects and it just makes me feel happy. Also, bonbuz Slow Burn is pretty good and I think the flavor is a little bit easier to blend into your typical cocktail. Kin is good, but I did feel a little off the next day...nothing like a hangover...just not as good as I felt after I drink HOP WTR with is like a flavored seltzer with a lil hop taste. Which is my absolute favorite for now. Happy Sipping!

I was excited to try Kin Euphorics High Rhode for our housewarming party. The idea of a non-alcoholic aperitif with adaptogens and nootropics intrigued me, and I was looking for something a little different to serve our guests. While I enjoyed having another option beyond the usual drinks, I have to admit I didn't really experience the "elevated social hour" that's advertised. Perhaps my expectations were too high. The drink itself is...fine. It's a pleasant enough tonic, though I did notice that the granules tend to settle at the bottom, so you need to give it a shake every now and then. That wasn't a huge deal, just something to be aware of. Overall, it was an interesting addition to our gathering, and everyone enjoyed trying something new. It definitely sparked some conversation. However, if you're expecting dramatic effects from the adaptogens and nootropics, I'd say temper your expectations. For me, it was more about having a unique and non-alcoholic aperitif option.

This product is not misadvertised in the least. It is a gentle pick me up that generally provides a minor uplifting yet relaxing boost. I would call the flavor complex. It basically tastes like green coffee bean extract mixed with orange bitters with a a mild sweetness and a light floral note at the end. It hits you fast because it is a liquid. My problem is that you can virtually get the same effects from any number of over the counter supplements for a fraction of the price. For example, I take a supplement that contains higher amounts of rhodiola root and ginger, as well as other mood lifting substances for .15 cents a day. My multivitamin has 100 milligrams of caffeine in it as well as other boosters for .25 cents a day. One serving of this is over 3.75 at the time of this review. The brand is attempting to get you to pay an major premium for a product that other products do better. If you want a bad tasting but uplifting social elixir, I think that a good Tongan or Samoan Kava would easily blow this out of the water. With all of this said, I would recommend this product, but I would not recommend it for over $20.00 a pop. Better yet, make something similar yourself by making a green tea and adding these supplements to the tea and strain it through a pair of panty hose and store it in your fridge in a mason jar. You'll get the same amount and effects for about an 8th of the total price.

Okay, originally I gave this a very unfavorable review. But I've discovered a little bit of how to use it and make it tolerable (for me). It was too expensive to throw it away. So I have experiment it a little.. Please note. This stuff is not going to give you some sort of radical feeling. It is very subtle. I use it in conjunction with something like Kratom to increase the effect, since I am looking for something for rest or pain relief. By itself, Makes you feel like you took cough syrup, with a little "whang". The color & packaging is pleasant & it is presented as being something very nice. Somebody did a heck of a marketing job.(I was looking forward to trying it). It says to sip it like a cordial but the only way I can enjoy it, is to take about 6 oz to straight up to & gulp it down, like I used to liquor before I quit drinking 11 years ago. To me it is quite disgusting to drink as a non-alcoholic cordial. I did fill it with non-sugar sweeteners drank it, but that is not pleasant (to me).. I have learned as a relaxing agent, that it can be pleasant, if I down it like a straight drink.... so I'm tempted to keep trying to work on it and see if I can find a way make it work for me. But that is problematic because it is VERY OVERPRICED! So at this time I'm taking some of the onerous language out of my review and bumping it up from a 2 to a 3.
