The media could not be loaded. This is perfect for anything before high level professional. You’d want a dremel that hooks up to the air compressor for that. This pen like engraver is awesome. It was just used on a magnetic phone mount and I’ll be using it for other things like metal. I have a metal engraver pen from Michael’s and I plan to throw that one out since this one is better for sure.•this is a rotary (spins) BUT it’s very easy to write with even if it’s dainty/small.•wrote for under 5mins and it got slightly warm. Not hot. Giving it a break when it does feel hot is no biggie.•it comes with a charger and a bunch of tips with options.•you remove/tighten the tips by un/screwing slightly the screw that’s by the top. The tools are in box•noise is there but it’s more muzzled to me and I tend to ignore what I don’t wanna hear.•portable obviously. And battery life I haven’t tested that out but it’s easy to just charge it.

This thing is fantastic! I used it to engrave personal messages on a bunch of swords I bought for my groomsmen, as well as to engrave eyes on a wooden sculpture. I'm not saying it's the greatest engraver out there, but I'm very impressed by what it can accomplish at such a low price. The battery life isn't too bad, either -- maybe 20 or 30 mins of constant use? That's just an estimate. But I'm really impressed by how much control I have over it; it takes no longer to write a message with this than it does to write one with pen, and my handwriting is nearly the same. Great little product.

The little pen engraver looks good it's lite, and it functions as it should. But what you need to know before you purchase this pin engraver is to have extra batteries on hand because a single 3.7 volt AAA size battery will not last very long and you will have to get them at a Batteries Plus store or order that battery online because your hardware stores will not have that in stock and those little bits are hard to find your local hardware store may not stock them they are not the size of a regular Dremel bit which have a 1/8 in. Shaft. ThisEngraver can only use 3/32 size shaft and the collar will not accept 1/8 in. Sleeve as found on dremel, so keep that in mind before you purchase, these little bits you may have to order online but you may find some at your local Hobby Lobby store or craft store. Do not get heavy-handed with this little pin engraver I could only engraved one line before the motor started to get exhausted, other than that it's very easy to use and quiet.

I absolutely love this Engraving Pen. It is perfect in the shape and weight, so comfy to hold. It has a very powerful motor and the added bonus is that the on /off switch us located at the end like a writing pen. I had bought other engraving pens but the downfall with those is that the motors are weak and they are wider and heavier to hold, as well as most have the in/off on the area you hold the pen which causes me to accidentally turn it off while using. I Highly recommend this and would love to be updated on newer products from this company please. Ps: don’t be to critical of my first practice work on my goose egg

Update #2Well, the seller contacted me, and very politely offered to send me a whole new engraver, no need to return the first one. I received it, and it had its set screw, and works. I’d give the seller 5 stars for the customer service. I give the engraver a 3. I think it will be fine for marking belongings in case of theft, but dont expect perfection in appearance. Maybe it’s partly me. Maybe with practice I’ll rate it higher.Update 1: No WONDER I was confused!! A friend looked at it and said there should have been a screw screwed into the hole that I was putting the Allen tool inside! There was no screw there when I pulled it out of its packaging. The Hardell company has reached out to me to see if we can resolve this.“The directions for inserting a tip into the engraver are too vague. The allen wrench supplied does not seem to fit into the screw to loosen the tip, and the directions don’t say or show how one is supposed to be able to retighten the screw, since from what I can see, the back end of the tip would be covering access to the screw behind it. If someone out there can post a video showing the tip insertion process, I’d appreciate it. If not, I’m going to have to return this item. I bought it to engrave a present for Christmas. I won’t be able to if I can’t figure it out. I’m rating a 1 star for vagueness of directions. If I find out how to use it, I’ll re-rate.”

I’m new to engraving but was able to get the hang of it fast. It’s great for for leveling certain things but also to distinguish keys. Has been VERY useful to me for that. Easy to use, light weight, good value for money overall.

Works excellent! I am using it for engraving stones and having no problems!
