Good for me. AKA the at home guitar tech.
I've been able to use them successfully on my guitars. The different sizes (wide/narrow) allow for measuring at different areas of the fretboard. The other measuring card/tool is also really helpful when setting up string action.

a good set for the money
Just as a heads up...double check the string on, fingerboard radius set. Two gauges were mislabeled ( 9.5 & 12). Take a piece of sandpaper to the sharp edges on the bottoms, to avoid scratching a fingerboard. I have not had a chance to check the under string gauges yet.

Useful, but may need deburred
These gauges quickly tell you what the radius of a guitar fretboard is without needing to remove the strings. There is a narrow set for measuring near the nut and a wide set for measuring near the body. You should always use both in case of compound radii. I had to deburr all of these. There was a tiny nib of metal left from manufacturing that was causing the gauge to rock when it shouldn't have. It gave me a few false readings before i figured it out and filed them down.

String action ruler is WAY off. Don't use it until you check it.
I am amazed at how innacurate the string action ruler that comes with this set is. I happened to have a similar one made by Baroque. I casually compared the blocks that you use to adjust string height with that run along the long edges of the ruler. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. All the blocks are off by about .025 to .030 on both edges! DO NOT use those blocks to adjust string height until you check them. If I had, for example, used the blocks to set my neck relief at .010", I would have actually set it to about .035" to .040"! I would have been off with string height too if I had used the blocks to check height. (By blocks, I'm referring to the black rectangles along the long edges on one side of the ruler that is used to measure string height by viewing them next to the strings.) Also, all scales on that side of the ruler (in other words, both edges that have blocks) that start on the long edges are off by the same amount. The scales on the short edges that also start on the short edges are accurate. The two scales on the opposite side that run along the long edge are also accurate but they base off the short edge. In other words, anything that bases off of the long edges is innacurate. The only way to fix this ruler would be to carefully file both long edges to make the "blocks" accurate thickness but that would take a long time and it's just not worth it. The whole purpose of this ruler is to provide accuracy and it failed terribly at that. Assuming they are all like the one I received, anyone who uses this ruler's "blocks" to check neck relief or string height without checking the accuracy of the ruler will have an incredibly bad setup - virtually unplayable. Everything will be off by .025" to .030" and that's HUGE. 200% + off! The whole purpose of this tool is precision. Think about this. If you use the blocks to set your neck relief to the pretty much standard .010", you're relief will actually be set to .035" to .040"! That's not even remotely close and you'll probably get bad fret buzz at the higher frets. If you then set your string heights with the blocks, they'll be so high that your guitar will be virtually unplayable. There's absolutely no excuse for such terrible quality control. When I saw how bad the ruler is, I decided to check the radius gauges that come with the set. They appear to be accurate but anyone who bought this set should them too before using them. I happen to have accurate radius gauges to compare with the ones in this set. The reason I bought this set is that I have un-notched (above the strings) radius gauges and also a set of Stewmac under-under-the-strings radius gauges. I wanted a set of notched radius gauges. Well, I got that but the ruler is dangerously innacurate. I'm going to throw it out so nobody ever uses it. I hope the manufacturer happens to see this review so they can remedy the problem. If not, there'll be a lot of guitarist who mess up their setup terribly if they assume the ruler is accurate. UPDATE: I first tried to contact the manufacturer using their contact form on their website. After filling out the form, it wouldn't send it. However, the site also listed an email address to contact them so I sent an email. The result? Nobody ever got back to me. I had even offered to send them close-up pictures of the ruler side-by-side with the one by Baroque. Those pictures showed the gross inaccuracy of the ruler. so much for customer service. Perhaps I just received a bad one but that would be a bad reflection of their quality control. After this experience, I won't be buying any products from this compay.
