I got this little cancer dude because I was diagnosed last year and it's been rough. It's cute, and I like that it's reversible when I need the positivity. I also use this to beat up when I get angry about my situation. It held up well to being voted around in my backpack, punched, and repeatedly whacked on whatever surface is nearest me. Very well made. I also got a brain neuron a while back that has been fun. One of my cats claimed it. Lots of fun jokes about my last brain cell just lying on the floor.

This was a cute stuffed cancer cell that arrived looking exactly like the listed image. As seen in the image, you can reverse the plush to change between a healthy smiling cell (white) to a cancerous frowning cell (grey). I think this would be a nice gift to the biology lovers.

I wasn’t expecting a plush toy to turn into a great learning moment, but this one really did! This little cancer cell plush is super soft, well made, and honestly kind of adorable in a weird way. My son was really curious about it the moment he saw it.What made it even better was the little info card that came attached with, it includes a short history of cancer that I read out loud to him. It turned into a really thoughtful conversation. I explained how our bodies work, what cancer is, and why people study it, all in a way that felt safe and age-appropriate. It was a cool way to introduce a serious topic without being scary. He had a ton of questions and actually wanted to learn more. I like that it's not just a plush, but also a learning tool. Definitely recommend for parents, teachers, or anyone who wants to make science a little more hands on and approachable. Fun, unique, and meaningful, can’t beat that!

First off, I'm a big fan of giant microbes, and have been since the early days. I have and have bought multiple in the past. This one is pretty clever... turning a sad cancer cell into a healthy one. Being able to have the cancer "eat" the healthy, and vice versa... AND zip up a frown and smiley face is really clever. Although the cancer cell can shed a little when new, that should level off (it's pretty "hairy"). The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is one of pricing and value. $18 (at time of review) DOES seem pretty high for this. At 7" across and 6" tall, it seems maybe 30% overpriced. BUT.. if it can make that cancer survivor in your life happy, it's all worth it. F cancer.

This plush is SO cute - both the cancer cell and the healthy cell. It is very well-made and comes with a short leaflet about cancer treatment. The mouth is a zipper, and it works BOTH ways, whether it's the cancer cell or the healthy cell. What is really cute is that the cancer cell frowns and the healthy cell smiles. Great design.

I was introduced to the Giant Microbes company years ago and I love the concept of the items they sell. This particular microbe of cancer is particularly close to me at the moment for many reasons and I think that it is a fun gift. I like that it turns into a healthy cell to represent hope and health. It is a nice size and a great value for the money. I think that it can also be a great learning or teaching tool for kids. The cancer cell is not so attractive but the healthy cell is cute!
