I forgot these existed. So happy to find it
This has been working nicely. My water heater is out at the moment. Instead of running to the gym every day, I van use a camp shower pump. This has been great to heat the water. I can still get a nice hot quality shower.

Fast heating, uses a lot of energy, Follow Directions!
I bought this to heat a huge inflatable tub of water since our hot water heater doesn't even heat a full bathtub of water. (Aren't slumlords fun?!) I have a 3 gallon plastic bucket that I filled with water, put the wand in the water and then plugged it in. It heated the water to boiling in maybe 7 minutes. Make sure to unplug it again before taking it out of the water. Fires, electrocutions, the danger is real. But the product is awesome. Three gallons of boiling water, when added to lukewarm water goes a long way and I know we saved money by not using the hot water heater that's on its last legs. The only issue that we had was that our electric situation here is dicey. A hair dryer killed my bathroom outlet completely. This thing? Blew the fuses repeatedly. We had to unplug all major electric suckers while using it that were on the same fuse.

Extremely dangerous!!
VERY DANGEROUS!! ZERO STARS!! it worked perfectly the first two times.... but the third time I used it it burst into flames badly!!!! I'm just thinking God I was close by and heard that little explosion sound. If I had walked out to take the trash out like I was going to my my bathroom would be destroyed. I don't know if my house would be burned down.!! shocking! I'm outside of the return window, unfortunately.... but I at least deserve my money back. This could've killed me.!!

Uses a HUGE amount of power and heats very slowly. It's like running two microwaves @the same time.
These things work but use caution:1) These heaters use a tremendous amount of energy, if you are using a generator to power them, good luck because they are around 1500W which is HUGE and its like running two microwaves at the same time for one of these to get warm! they take several hours to get hot. They will yank amps/current like crazy from a lithium battery in your RV, so be prepared.2) You cannot use them inside an metal containers without being shocked HARD. You cannot touch the water with them inside anything else non-metal either, it just wont zap you as hard.So they do work, they just take forever to get going so it may be better to stick with gas for heating up your hot water tanks in a cabin/rv type frozen water scenario. Make sure you remove power to them before checking the water or it will shock you.3) If you use an extension cord, make sure its an extra heavy duty/high amp cord and the shortest cable possible for your application. Do not run two of these from the same outlet either or you risk a fuse-breaker trip inside your home/cabin, RV camper, etc. This works well for heating a small inflatable hot tub or kiddie pool as long as everyone knows not to touch the water while they are in. They have to be fully submerged or could burn out.I bought a 2 pack of these as an emergency way of heating frozen water barrels full of clean water that always freeze at a lodge/camp in the woods during winter. They took forever to get going in 20*F weather and I would suggest simply boiling hot water on a propane stove and pouring that hot water inside whatever is frozen rather than going this route as it takes forever. Using them with a LiFeP04 battery in a camper with an inverter will drain the batteries insanely fast. So, for heating up a small pool for the kids ahead of time making sure no-one touches the water = yes.Heating up a full sized pool = definitely not unless you want to see your electric bill go berserk.Pre-heating a hot tub for a few hours before the built in tub heating element gets going = yes.For heating up a semi-frozen 50 gallon barrels of water for emergencies with your generator in the winter time in the middle of nowhere without electricity and running on a generator, possible but not the best way to do it, at least not cost wise. The generator will struggle unless it is extremely powerful.Hope this helps.
