Q: Can one small woman really put this up without help?

The individual in the video is a small person and she demonstrates how a single person can setup this canopy. And she really does it. Q: Is this tent good in the rain?

Thank you for your question. We do wind and rain testing on our canopies because it happens, and our canopy performs well. However we have to note that pop up canopies are not intended to be permanent shelters and in cases of inclement whether should be taken down and stored. A risk is water pooling on the canopy top. This particular canopy has 2 grommets on each side edge of the canopy top to help with drainage if caught in a sudden downpour. Please see the video on the Amazon page to clearly see the grommets. Our canopy tops are water resistant (we believe many others misuse the term waterproof) and our frames are fully powder coated. Hope this answer helps you. Q: Do you recommend the circle weights that go around the legs or the sand bags that attach to the legs?

Thank you for your question. Weight plates and sand bags both can help stabilize the canopy. Our recommendation would depend on your use and your access to a weight source for the bags. For example, if you are using the canopy at the beach or place where you can easily load and unload the weight bags then the weight bags are great. You can use the weight plates almost anywhere, but they are more difficult to carry and store compared to the weight bags. Depending on the material you use to fill the bags, you should be able to load more weight into the weight bags than most circle weights in the market.
