Very "real" sounding CAB simulator
I have a few of these CAB sims like CABdryVr & Nux Solid Studio, and the ADA GCS-6 is the most realistic of them all (all of them are very good too). Maybe because it's pure analog and not digital like the others? It's got lots of options in the I/0 area as well as tonally. I have tried all the out options and they work great (except the headphone out, which I hope to try soon). The options to alter the tone REALLY do exactly as described. The British has that nice crunchy tone, the American is a bit softer and round. The open back gives that "combo" flavor and closed back has that nice boomy boost.I wholeheartedly recommend this Cabinet Simulator for those who want a truly realistic cabinet sound for direct playing/recording.

Reduced my workout
No more lugging around an amp! It works great. I use it with a preamp and distortion pedal and it's all quiet. I must have found out during my research on the MFG site that a power supply was NOT included. It didn't matter to me because the unit is part of my board and the Donner DP-1 which has the correct port and cable to power the unit. Dual independence and two amp sounds in one box. Just what I was looking for! It's running direct into the PA board and quietly.

No power supply!
Does not come with a power supply! Not useable on Christmas morning! So disappointing, as the ad doesn't give you a heads up you'll need to find your own!

My stereo/ampless dream come true!
Basically, if you’re looking for a dead simple way to run a pedalboard based stereo guitar rig - this is the answer. I’ve been using ADA analog cab sim boxes for years now, but when I upgraded to the GCS-6 a few months ago it rocked my world! If you’re the kind of player that runs a pedalboard into a clean amp there’s really no reason to not pick up one of these boxes. They’re great as a backup for liver performance if your amp goes out, for sending a direct track to a mixing console, & the models with headphone outputs make silent practice a brease. I do find that I get a slightly more natural sound if I cut a decent amount of bass early on in my effects chain, but a.) that could be an entirely rig dependent phenomenon & b.) it’s easily accomplished with any kind of effect that has a bass control (I’m using a Timmy od right now and really liking the results, but I’ve successfully used several pedals for this purpose in the past).
