Very engaging book for the little ones.

Like many reviewers... I bought this book after a trip to Boston with my husband. I thought it would be a nice memento for our five year old daughter. I saw the book in a shop in Boston, but it’s quite big so I ordered it from Amazon UK whilst sat having a coffee in Ziggy’s cafe which is opposite Boston Common! I knew having seen it that it had no colour pictures but, the illustrations are so good, that I don’t think they’re hugely missed. My daughter loved the story, and I showed her my photos of the statue of the ducks in the Boston Public Garden which made it relevant! Great story for little ones and parents alike!

I bought this book after visiting Boston as I thought it would be a nice memento of my time there and something my son would enjoy hearing at bedtime.It is a lovely, well-illustrated children's story that has been well-read by all of us and will be for many more years I hope.

I almost bought this book whilst in Boston, where the story is based and you can actually visit the ducks in the park but was worried about all the weight I was bringing home. Was delighted when I found it on amazon. It's a lovely story. The pictures are lovely too............the only thing I would say is they may have been better if they had a splash of colour. Regardless, I would still by it again. My granddaughter loves the story.

After a recent trip to Boston, where we saw the statues on the common, my son wanted to read the story.In America we could only find the book in hardback and it wasn't cheap.Very pleased to find it in paperback at a more reasonable price.Lovely keepsake to remind us of our trip

I bought this book as a result of wandering around a park, whilst on holiday in Boston USA. We saw statues of these ducklings and mother duck on the pathway.I felt I wanted to read their story ...... Why were the statues there? I wasn't disappointed. The illustrations are fun too. It's very suitable for young children.

We have had this story for a few years and love this old fashioned tale and have since been lucky enough to visit Boston and see the bronze statues in the park of the ducks and ride on the swan boats. I am going to get the cd version now as we still read the book from time to time and cassette version now not working.My kids now 9 and 7 and still enjoy it, as do we parents.
