But I just can't stop reading until the smashing end. Brilliant, just as I remember from the paperbacks I read twenty years ago

Classic Roald Dahl, how can you go wrong?

Very bizarre, but several pages are missing from the beginning of this book. The introduction is missing and the first four pages of the first story, entitled "The Way Up To Heaven." The photos I've included hopefully show that he first page is page 5 of the first story. Have never seen this before.

Scorpion like, macabre, intelligent and with a sting in the tail. Breadth of range, simple, yet powerful language puts you right in the middle of every plot, building into an almost always unpredictable denouement.
