Since discovering these adjustable nuts a few years ago, I have been replacing the nuts on almost all my electric guitars with these. I love the tone and love being able to fine-tune the height of each string.

You will need to purchase string trees, and install one or two on your head stock. This nut needs a good string angle, otherwise string bends are going to be a problem. And without a good string angle, the tension on the screw is light enough it can wiggle and make some noise. Once you install some string trees, the thing works very well. The adjust-ability was worth it to me. No discernible affect on tone.

This thing is great. No sanding no filing slots. String it up, check your string height, loosen the string and adjust the height of the screw. It was unbelievably easy to setup. Once it’s setup that’s it, you just leave it. Since it’s titanium it will never wear down. I’m using these for now on all of my guitar builds or guitars that I purchase. It’s really a brilliant idea. This thing is cool. Much easier and takes less expertise than filing the grooves in a plastic nut. Should get better open notes as well.

I found the adjustable nut to be made well, but I had a problem that nobody else seems to have mentioned. On the low E and A strings, as you are tuning the guitar up to pitch, the string pulls the nut with it as you tighten it because the wound string catches on the sharp edges of the adjustment screw. Only way I could get it to work would be to use a punch to push the nut back to where it should be against the fret board.

Guyker products rip. I will definitely be buying more of these adjustable nuts for other project guitars i have. Independent string height at the nut without filing was a luxury i never knew until this magnificent upgrade. Just buy it

The idea seems sound, but if you guitar has tuning keys that are not aligned with the nut, it may not hold the string in place.
