Nutrition for Sport and Exercise 2nd Edition

I usually don't rate or review books for school but this one was actually really useful. my school required the newer edition but I bought this one instead because it was cheaper and still served it's purpose!

The author of this textbook does a good job of explaining things clearly and making the material interesting. Texts aren't always the most engaging reading material, but Dunford and Doyle present topics in a way that isn't as dull as some are.

I bought the Kindle version of this book for a Sports Nutrition class I was taking in my Dietetics program. Compared to buying this at the University book store I found that I could own it from Amazon cheaper than if I wanted to rent it from the book store. Some of the material can be dry but it is well written. If you are the type of learner that gets a lot from reading the book then I think that this is a great book for that. For learners that get more from lecture I found the search function to be helpful when needing quick answers and references. It was a good buy for the price.

Book was beyond boring. Teacher was awesome so barely needed the book and still got an A. So glad I rented though Amazon bc it was way cheaper than buying.

This is a great book. Had to buy for school but if you are interested in sports nutrition it is very informative and interesting!

This book is very helpful. It has good information without being too dry. It is an easy read but still gives an in depth look at the different aspects of nutrition and how that affects those who are physically active. I'll probably hang on to it for a long time.
