Tiny AND Mighty! Love this little, bright, powerful, versatile light! Recommended to me by a ski patroller friend. Gave two to my son in construction. He's using one all over the worksite, and keeps the other in his car! He loved them so much I bought two for me. I clip it onto my shirt to do handsfree work, point it into dark corners to find things, and use the flashing light to keep me visible walking around the block in the evening. My second one stays in the car, too. The orange is easy to spot in some clutter. I LOVE THESE! I'd give more than 5 stars if I could!!

Surprisingly bright, very lightweight, strong magnet. Not sure why it needed a RGB strobe light functionality, but that's there too I suppose.

I have several small EDC flashlights including a Streamlight Microstream, a Lumintop AA Tool 2.0, and my favorite is the Wurkkos TS10. Each have pros and cons, which is why I keep experimenting. This Klarus e5 is different in that it has a slim and flat profile rather than a AA or AAA battery tube design and it has a perpendicular or 90-degree light rather than inline. It does have an inline light as well, though it's a bit of an afterthought. The main light is the round one while the inline light at the top end is of rather limited use. Had it been lensed to offer a spotlight design with decent throw, it would have a purpose, but it doesn't - it's just another floodlight like the main lamp, but with less lumens and only offering a high and low setting. So, it really is quite pointless unless.The main round floodlight is pretty decent, offering just under 300 lumens on high. To get 470 lumens, you have to turn on turbo mode, which is a separate set of clicks (it doesn't cycle to that setting from low, medium, or high). All my tube flashlights will outperform the Klarus in terms of throw as they are spotlight designs, so when I need more power I'll grab the TS10.PROS:The main feature of this unit is the slim design. Simply put, I can slip it in a pocket and not know it's there... Except for the inch or so the top sticks up out the top. Deep carry is what I prefer, so I removed the stock pocket clip (3 small screws, not rivets thankfully) and repurposed an extra Microstream cip I had laying around by bending it to shape (see pics). That made this Klarus much less conspicuous and fashion friendly. The aluminum construction and anodizing is nice and overall it feels light, but not cheap. The magnetic tail is super handy and a feature lacking on most of my tube flashlights.CONS:Deep carry issues aside, the button placement is less than ideal due to being directly opposite of the charge port, which feels nearly identical. So you may have to look at the orientation of the light or press the rubber charge port cover before flipping it around to find the actual button. When pulled from a pocket, you'll remember the orientation and this is less of an issue, but it's still a poorly-thought-through design choice. The inline lamp needed to be a spotlight to be useful as I said before. So that is redundancy rather than a real feature. If it had a 470 lumen spotlight and a deep carry pocket clip, this would be an easy 5-star flashlight. But as is, it's a good 4-star unit and it's different enough than my others that it offers some benefit. However, the TS10 can be had for the same price (off Wurkkos' website) and it is a much more feature-packed light with twice as many lumens and way more features and settings.CONCLUSION:That said, the e5 is currently my main EDC simply due to the slim, flat design. The TS10 and other AA-sized tube flashlights are thick enough to feel in my pocket, which is fine when I'm working, but annoying for casual wear. So, the Klarus e5 is a nice addition to the family.

Great little flash light, I bought several for my family. They charge fast and stay charged for weeks. I use mine every day in my mechainc shop. Being flat makes them a lot more comfortable then the round ones when you have them in your pocket and you lay on your side. Great value compared to some of the name brand flash lights that cost a lot more. I highly recommend this light

These are better than expected! The charging port cover is super secure! Like, I had a horrible time opening it as first, which is great! You get two! I didn't know that. I was also stoked! Charges quickly. For 2? GREAT price! Magnetic strength was impressive, not trusting it with my life, but it's got good grip for it's size. Powerful on each setting.

Had smaller lights that are brighter. RETURNED

This is the better of the small flat lights. It's a keeper I have both.
