They look great and I was exited to try them.First the standard pins are larger than the whole that's drilled. No big deal you think, but upon drilling the holes a bit bigger it fit the pin on one side, but on the other side the pin hole is off by about a half inch. Once you get that corrected an it fits flush on the wheel, you realize that it's not even. The bat hangs over by anywhere from a quarter inch to half inch and on the other side it's showing the silver of the wheel head. Attempting to use the bat you can never center the clay as it gives a permanent wobble.I definitely would not recommend these to anyone, especially as a new potter. Buy bats from reputable pottery suppliers.

These batts are well made and reliable they have been great

These fit a standard pottery wheel head. They do tend to warp if you get them too wet and they don't try too easily. I definitely got several uses out of most of the inserts but some warped too much for me to reuse. even with some warping you can push the insert back into the bat and it works just fine. the main bat/round does not warp as much...it is mainly the inserts. the inserts are a good/decent size though! i really like how big those are and they are very easy to remove from the bat round which has helped me getting the pots off with ease. Overall, 4 stars...would be 5 if they didn't warp but that is the material they are made of. i just wish it held up a little longer!

So I was super excited about these. Set the bat on my wheel and the pins don’t line up with the holes. No big deal, I planned on drilling new holes. In the meantime, I used the boards to hold fresh pieces that I took right off of the wheel. Every single one of those bats grew mold before the piece could get leather hard. Super disappointed, at the least the mold will burn off in the kiln.

Exactly what I expected delivered quickly

The bat pin holes will NOT fit on any regular wheel head. Very disappointing

The base warped in two days. The batts warped right after first use.The holes don't line up with existing holes in my wheel.Really not worth having. The material breaks down fast and gets in clay after 3 uses.

The frame of the system absorbs far too much water which takes too long to dry out. As a result, you can have mold growth and a bad odor. I had to try drying the bats in the sun. Then in the garage with the doors open and a 24” square fan blowing on them. So if you are working with dense clays with lots of grog you’ll need to adjust your throwing method.That being said, I do enjoy being able to leave my pieces on them unwired from the bat inserts. I can let them help siphon off the excess water in the clay, dry some. Then I trim the pieces while still centered and in the wheel. Then wire them off.
