Best quality
As an artist with over 40 years experience working with acrylics this range is top quality. Don't be fooled into buying cheap paint as it doesn't deliver the mixing quality or density of pigment. Pay that bit extra and you won't regret it - your work will have more impact and quality feel.

Opaque colour
I used to use the Daler Rowney system 3 metallic acrylic paint, which were beautiful colours (both gold and silver) and heavily pigmented. When I came to buying more, the formula must have changed and it has drastically gone down in quality- the colours being dull and transluscent. I have tried several other brands and been similarly disappointed.This Windsor and Newton gold is the best I have come across so far and is almost as good as the original Daler and Rowney. It is similarly highly pigmented and opaque but it loses a star on colour. It is good enough but lacks the sparkle of the original Daler Rowney, which remained bright and sparkly even after drying. This one is more matte and dull.

It's like the picture, shiny and textured, reminiscent of coagulated blood. When diluted, the brownish tint remains. A beautiful colour.
