I'm a mechanic by trade. This worked perfectly for removing harmonic balancer on a 2012 5.3L LS motor out of a truck. Fits perfect, designed really well, seems durable, I'm sure I'll have it a very long time. Totally worth it over the clamp style puller, this one doesn't fall off. I put some red grease on the threads before use, everything worked perfectly. I just used an installer from one of my other kits.

I bought this to do the oil pump on my 6.2 and was a little hesitant due to the price. I’m a professional mechanic and I’m used to using Mac, Matco and Snap On tools at work. I needed this for home and the others were more than I wanted to spend for something at home. Don’t let the price scare you, this is a QUALITY tool! Quality I would expect from one of the three mentioned above. Worked like it was supposed too, perfectly! These LS motors can be very hard to remove the balancer from. “Cheap” tools can’t handle removing them, they’re just too tight. This one worked excellent! Never slipped off, good quality threads on the center portion. Threads are nice and tight, like they should be. You can drive it with either a 3/4 wrench, 3/4 socket, or (and this is where this tool beats the big three) a 3/8 ratchet alone. Located on the end of the threaded rod is a 3/8 female receiver for your ratchet. I can’t tell you how nice that is. The case is a standard blow-molded plastic case but holds the tool nicely. One thing I recommend, get you a tube of extreme pressure grease and grease the threads. Makes tools like these work so much easier, besides protecting the threads. I use the Quicksilver extreme pressure grease. It’s the best I have found so far. Thank you for a quality American made tool at such a reasonable price!

I never write reviews, but this one I have to comment on. I bought this to work on a 2007 chrysler PT Cruiser. I have other pullers and none of them worked. The harmonic balancer on the 2.4 engine has very narrow slots to use a puller on. What makes this nice is the arms on the puller are removeable making it easier to get the last arm on. Has four different lenghts forcing rods. Does not slip. I highly recommend

I bought this tool set specifically for the tensioner pulley while installing or removing the serpentine belt on my Hyundai Sonata 2.4L engine. I have other tensioner tools and ratchets but they simply wouldn't work in this situation due to clearance issues that wouldn't allow the tensioner to rotate far enough to remove or install the serpentine belt. Because of the versatility of this set I was able to work around the clearance issues. With the ratchet wrench and various socket sizes it's also handy for removing and installing idler pulleys in tight work spaces. The only negative I have is that the red handle cover kept wanting to slip off when under pressure during use so you have to be mindful of that slippage so the tool handle doesn't smack you when the handle cover slides off which is why I knocked off one star.

This is unlike other cheaper brands, it is thougher, durable and seems heat treated. Knocks sounds like carbon steel
