HUAWEI B525s-23a - LTE, 4G WiFi Router 300Mbps DL Cat.6 Black

I'm very pleased with this. Like many of us, I need to work from home and have no landline.I made sure to buy a good external aerial and put it as high up as I could.Then just enter the username and password off the bottom of the unit into the laptop. Ok it did take several attempts and I'm not sure why, but now it just works. No messing about. No complex settings to get wrong. I can get on and teach my classes from home.

For me this really worked and was basically plug and play, along with a Poynting XPOL-A0001 network antenna this has given me 4g internet with download speeds of 15-25 mbps, I do use a WiFi extender because the router is located in an outside shed but the WiFi from the router itself is excellent, definitely recommend for ease of set up, functionality and value for money.

I work from home in a remote location with a very poor broadband service through BT copper wires. I deduced to move away from BT and take up the EE 4G broadband service, which is excellent, up to 50mbs download speeds. I have two routers from EE this Huawei one and an EE branded one. The Huawei one has always out performed the EE branded router in every respect, reception, download speeds etc. Hence I bout this one (with a couple of antennas) to replace the EE one.Please be aware that this router comes with a European 2 pin plug and not a UK 3 pin plug, hence the 4 star rating.I managed to find a replacement power adaptor using the product number on my other router, there were loads in the US, none in the UK, I managed to get mine from Ireland using eBay. I’m sure there are loads of adaptors that would work just as well, I’m just a bit wary of electrics.

The router was easy to set up. It produces a good signal which is easily received around the house. I am very happy with the product.

Bought this for our narrow boat , have to say it has far gone beyond our expectations, it is brilliant
