Suunto M-Series M1/M2 Plain Strap - Black

I was afraid I would never be able to replace the broken band on my M1 watch. (I bought it on a closeout/clearance rack.) I had no luck finding one locally so I was very happy to find it on Amazon.The band arrived very quickly (thanks Amazon Prime!) and was very easy to replace, once I figured out how to do it. I was assuming the 'pins' were like others I have had before where each end is spring loaded--you push in on the spring and slip the pin out of the two holes. This band is not like that. You have to push/pull the entire pin out of one end. I took a very tiny screwdriver tip and pushed it enough to grab it with a pair of needle-nose pliers. It came out easy enough and the new pin went in with no problems.I am quite happy to have my watch back in operation!

Pure plastic strap looks nice but doesn’t last very long. The strap will tear or break within a year of continued use. A sturdier material would have been better.

It was very easy to remove the old band and attach the new one. Interestingly, the band is a lot stiffer than the original one. It has been about 6 months since i have put it on the watch and wear almost daily and still has not "loosened" up. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing.

I gave this product a two star rating because I was disappointed that the original strap on the Suunto watch failed in 6 months. I had noted some people complaining about the straps in the reviews for the watch but I failed to heed their advice. The fact that this strap is special to the watch limits your choice of options as well as demanding a high price of $32 + $21 shipping + tax.

ho il suunto M1 da un po' di anni; non è un orologio che io usi davvero tutti i giorni, e quindi non è sottoposto a incredibili fatiche... nondimeno questo è già il secondo cinturino che cambio, per lo stesso motivo: si rompe l'anello di plastica e, a quel punto, il rischio che l'orologio si sganci dalla fibbia è concreto...purtroppo la suunto è stata furba, e il cinturino ha un attacco tale per cui non appare sostituibile con modelli compatibili, insomma c'è una tassa di 20€ da pagare ogni due-tre anni, per un orologio che, ripeto, non è d'uso quotidiano.peccato.
