Update -- After a bunch more research (and finding the right support person at Movo), I learned that my problems with this cable *weren't* issues with the cable itself, but rather the fault of the custom audio jack on the back of the Movo mic. The cable itself is fine and recommended. Review corrected to 5 stars. ----- Original review follows ----- I bought this cable to use with a Movo VRX10-PRO mini shotgun mic and a Macbook Pro laptop. The mic uses a TRRS connection, but the included cable was too short for my needs. The cable worked perfectly when it arrived. The first couple of recordings I made sounded great. But when I plugged the cable in the next day, the computer didn't recognize my mic. I double-checked the connections and ports, but no change. When I used the original cable again, everything worked fine, so it wasn't a hardware issue. Figuring I got a bad cable, I exchanged the original for a new replacement. And the SAME THING happened. The cable worked exactly once, right out of the box. Unplug it, plug it back in... and it's dead. I cannot recommend this cable.

I am just writing the review after using it since September 2022 and right now it's April 2025. During my whole time using the cable until recently, I have had no issues with them whatsoever. I play video games, and also use VR as well and the amount of tug and pull and moving around I do, it held very well. The calbe quality is really nice! The length I used it the 6 feet model, which fit perfectly for me and there was no issues in its ease of use. After 2.5 years, I am sure due to wear and tear it loses audio in one channel if not held in a right spot, but even then it only happens only at a certain angle and otherwise is still fine. I got the 10 feet cable this time to allow more slack for me to move around, but the 6 feet was definitely enough!

Update edit- I reached out and told them my problem with my cable. They worked very fast and sent me a new replacement at no charge! The new cable works as intended! I have sound now and everything fits fine. Great communication and A+ customer service for sure. I would recommend these cables for anyone looking for a backup cable or replacement for your original headset cable. Materials for cord looked good. The fit was a little loose but still fit without just falling out. When in an Xbox party people say they can barely make out what I’m saying and I have absolutely zero sound on my end no matter what volume settings I tweak. Zero game sound and zero party chat sound. Nothing.

I bought this in order to replace my headphone's cord (an MPOW headphone) which got bent so much that the coating on the wire already separated and exposed the inner wirings. Thankfully, this cord properly works with that headphone. Now I don't have to worry about any potential exposed wires. Sound quality is awesome, it's actually way better than the original MPOW cord I had. I literally heard the difference. The MPOW cord had a weird sound quality to it and it was mostly low volume for some reason. This one on the other hand, gave me crystal clear sound and I was surprised that volume could go quite loud. I guess I had a very defective MPOW cord right from the very beginning and I've been missing out on the correct sound quality. Thankfully this cord now allows me to listen to my shows and games clearly. The material of this thing feels quite good and very functional. Even if you bend it around, it's not like the plastic coating on the original MPOW that would just get torn apart. This is something that I imagine is going to last a very long time. This is a very good product that you should immediately get if you're worried about those pesky cables that get bent all the time. Perfect score from me.

For what it does the price is good. Works as intended.

It was what I wanted, shipped quickly, fair price. No hassles.

The cable feels durable but is a bit shorter than I expected. Also, plug on the angled side doesn't stick out far enough from the jack so if your phone or tablet has a case it may have trouble rotating. Barring those issues, this is a good backup audio cable when needed.
