VictorinoxPocket Knife Accessoire Fire Steel, For Venture Pro, Camping, Steel

Bought two of these, to go into he scales of two Victorinox knives, but someone didn't read the description properly, they are way too big to fit in a my knives, but I'm sure I can find a use for them. They look strong and well made and arrived after a few days.

As per the description, this firesteel is a replacement for the one that ships with the Victorinox Venture Pro. The Venture Pro is a relatively large, fixed blade outdoors knife. As with most steels, it is coated with a protective paint which protects the steel from humidity and corrosion. A small part of the paint needs scraping off when using the steel for the first time. If it is going to be stored for a long time after use, it is a good idea to replace the paint with some kind of varnish/ coating.This item doesn't deserve some of the criticism it receives in earlier reviews. It is what it is supposed to be and absolutely fine. Come to think of it, compared to the price of the Victorinox pin and other Victorinox spares, it's an absolute bargain

You would think it was the same size as the tweezers, but it's not! It's almost as big as the actual swiss army knife

This is massive - seems like a shop display item. Do not buy this if you intend to insert into toothpick holder. Its 7cm long and about 0.5cm in diameter. Item is not as described on amazon listing.
