Mitchell, Chad - At the Bitter End - desertcart.com Music Review: One of my Two Chad Mitchell Trio Faves - Along with Might Day on Campus, this is a superior album. Great talents, blending well, having fun -- a great time in America. Lyrics and Music -- and fun -- are all Top-Notch. You will not be disappointed! Review: Review of Chad Mitchell at Bitter End - I am a Chad Mitchell Trio fan. I am a Folk Music fan. I turned on to Folk in the 50's when those of us who did folk went to coffee houses and enjoyed the music of the Kingston Trio, Limelighters, Dolan Ellis, Tom Paxton, etc. Anyway, the Bitter End Album is a great album and a great example of the Chad Mitchell Trio kind of folk. If you like folk music, you will truly enjoy this.

One the Trio's Best
If you like the Trio or want to experience a great folk group, this disk is unbeatable. All the classics are here, from John Birch Society to James James Morrison Morrison. Great fidelity for a live recording on CD.

Good old folk fun
I grew up listening to this album with my mother (from HER early years). It's everything I remember, and still a lot of fun. "Their update to the John Birch Society." is a lot of fun, as well. This being a live album, and I having never listened to their other recordings have a narrow experience with their "standard quality." However, The audio is good, the material is very entertaining.

They had many good albums, but this one is GREAT!
This, along with their first album, Mighty Day on Campus, is one of the great folk albums of the late fifties (and all time). There were other great folk acts, but none of them could harmonize like the CMT did on this album. Incredible.

Classic folk
Classic 60s folk music. Excellent music craftsmanship, humor and a touch of irreverence. Reflects the innocence, rebellion and tastes of the time.

Anything But Bitter
This is pure 1960s close harmony folk singing. This album is representative of all their albums, containing a mix of traditional folk songs and humorous songs. "The John Birch Society" is an example of their political humor, which does have a liberal bias that you should expect in the '60s. "An Unfortunate Man" and "A Great Historical Bum" are excellent examples of their non-political humor. Unfortunately this album does not include "The Ballad of Lizzie Borden." If you like Folk music I can't believe you won't like The Chad Mitchell Trio, and "At the Bitter End" is a good album to get acquainted with.

So glad to have it in a CD
I have this in the original album and listened to it tirelessly in 60s. So glad to have it in a CD. The music is still dear to me.
